CL | 1/8 Final: FC Barcelona - SSC Napoli 4-2 (agg.)

I count us quite lucky that they sat back actually. I don't think how shaky we are when pressed.

CL | 1/8 Final: FC Barcelona - SSC Napoli 4-2 (agg.)

We had the ball in their half at Anfield many times. We could literally have passed it around for 10 minutes in each attack, killing the tempo, instead of trying a half assed attempt and hurrying back to defend.

Maybe we shouldn't try to do things differently from when we play well and win, but get this, try and do the same things that we do when we play well and win.

Yeah, and when those teams come to camp nou, they just, what? don't wanna win?

Vidal doesn't work a lot because he does useless sprints and careless sliding tackles. Rakitic doesn't work a lot because he looks exhausted all game.

I don't even know if I'll agree with this anymore. I used to trust Rakitic to make the right decisions in attack but I just don't anymore. And when's the last time he scored a good goal? Tottenham a year and a half ago? Arthur has 3 goals to his 0 this season.

Far from it. Busquets can turn with the ball, play it forward. Find holes in the opponent lines quickly and push them back. Rakitic invites pressure, allows opponents to go forward. Negative contribution only.

I seriously am lost for words. If he was good at all defensively, I would get it, but he's just not. He takes up no space, can't accelerate to stop someone going past him, imposes no physical threat.

We played Eibar and wasn't pressed at all. He still couldn't do anythng but pass it backwards. Backpass and jog around like his job is done. No responsibility, no guts.

Rakitic literally falls down in every duel. He's terrible physically. Players breeze past him with ease.

CL | 1/8 Final: FC Barcelona - SSC Napoli 4-2 (agg.)

We play better when we play at home. Why do you think that is? Is there something inherently different about the grass on Camp Nou? No, we play better because we play like Barca, with confidence. We play badly away because we play without confidence. Thinking defensively, inviting the pressure...

Seriously what the fuck? Rakitic is bad every single game. This is so fucking weird. He's never ever good. This is not hyperbole. Why is he being played? He's fucking awful defensively and useless offensively. I really don't get it.

Lliga | Round 25: FC Barcelona - SD Eibar 5-0

Crazy how much better Puig would do than Vidal in that position.

Lliga | Round 25: FC Barcelona - SD Eibar 5-0

so it's a 4-4-2, which with Messi is really a 4-5-1? provided it's not a 4-3-3 with Griez on the wing, in which case it'll really be a 4-6-0

    Martin Braithwaite

incredible to think that Pedro could still be playing in the starting 11 if he'd stayed here that's how little we've progressed

    Martin Braithwaite

Been tired of watching him in the national team for years. Of course the universe sends him so I can be tired of him for Barca as well.

    Barca Transfers and Rumors

I am beyond frustrated whenever I have to watch him play for the Danish national team. There is absolutely no way in hell he is anywhere near good enough to play for us.

    Ansu Fati (loaned to Monaco)

In the training vid for today, he showcases this dipping knuckleball shot at Ter Stegen. Looks pretty deadly, looking forward to seeing him whip it out in games.

    Ernesto Valverde

Still can't believe we nearly went undefeated that one league season. If Valverde did have a special power, it was to subdue games into this listless affair that somehow lulled opponents into passivity. A stalemate of contentment and mutual security that allowed Messi to launch his swift...

    Frenkie de Jong

What a presence he has on the pitch. Calm, hard working, clever and aggressive at the same time.
