    Martin Braithwaite

Missed penalty is really not a fluke. This pretty much has always been his level of finishing.

    Samuel Umtiti

It was comical watching him try to sprint. Looked like how I jog from the bathroom when my legs have gone asleep after a 30 minutes shit.

    Frenkie de Jong

Team fell apart completely when he came off. He's essential.

La Liga | Round 15: Valladolid - FC Barcelona 0-3

Not liking this setup. We have essentially only one player that can make deep offensive runs. Result as expected is a whole lot of half-way attacks squandering the momentum. Dest can play the wingback role but Alba is way too limited in the fundamentals of playmaking to be this high up.

    Alba crosses incoming

La Liga | Round 14: FC Barcelona - Valencia CF 2-2

Really don't think so. We have loads of space and time around the box.

La Liga | Round 14: FC Barcelona - Valencia CF 2-2

Yes Alba's crosses are terrible but we're never going to score if the players in the box just stand around like they know the cross is bad beforehand.

La Liga | Round 14: FC Barcelona - Valencia CF 2-2

pretty incredible that we were discussing whether to play 2 or 3 decidedly offensive players under Valverde and now we're starting 5.

    Lionel Messi - v7

watched it 17 times and didn't see a viable option for an endgame pass. our lack of killer instinct isn't just in the finishing, it's in the movement too

    Mavericky Puig

He would do well in the current Frenkie position, unmoored from the pivot free to roam forward.

    Lionel Messi - v7

Exactly. I think it helped us out tremendously how he came down and received the ball from Ter Stegen or the CBs when we couldn't play it out. He's so good at receiving it with a man in his back and getting turned around. An essential part of playing possession based football that we've lacked...

    8 - Pedri

Excellent economics of time and space with this guy. Does that Iniesta thing of making difficult things look easy. A joy to watch.

    Martin Braithwaite

Konrad makes these runs as well. I feel like this forum is blinded by the fact that we haven't played with real wingers for so long so that they get euphoric as soon as someone makes the most basic winger runs.

    Martin Braithwaite

He's so far off the level it's ridiculous. Did he do one single good thing with the ball yesterday? I get that people are excited that he's showing spirit but wait till you hear that there are players who play with spirit AND are actually good. Konrad even would be a huge improvement if we're...

Keep him the fuck away from the pitch. Fool could have cost 3 goals.

La Liga | Round 19: FC Barcelona - Real Sociedad 2-1

I'd have liked Konrad instead of Pedri on the left considering we now once again have three 10s on at the same time.

    Lionel Messi - v7

agree 100% which might be the first time tight one-twos is all we ever do and we never ever score from them. honestly, think back on this season's goals, how many have we scored from breaking through in those extremely tight situations around the edge of the box? with how much time and effort...

    Lionel Messi - v7

I picture Leo as the kind of sulky self-involved dad figure in the dressing room. Pique with the chirpy mitigating mum role. Without him right now it must be a sombre fucking scene in there. Alba as the annoyingly reverent older brother enforcing dad's rules around the dinner table. No surprise...

    Frenkie de Jong

The most post-2016 barca moment was against Levante when Frenkie carried the ball by himself past two pressing opponents, holding one guy off for 30 metres, all the way into the box just to look up and realize that no attacker had bothered to run up there with him. It was a pure 'I give up'...
