    Ousmane Dembélé

He definitely has individual x-factor but I think there are more important things that should disqualify him before that, things like basic short passing, reliable finishing, capacity to take part in collective attacking moves. The one thing I do rate in him is that he can play both wings...

    Xavi Hernández

Please, any player that can't perform an action as simple as running an overlap shouldn't play professional football. Also, we had Araujo trying to dribble to the touchline yesterday. No reason why he can't do an overlap while one of the CMs cover his position.

    Jordi Alba

You can just sense he's on the verge of giving up or throwing a fit whenever the wind doesn't blow our way.
  4. BusiTheKing

    Jordi Alba

His decision making is just atrocious. No patience, no curiosity, no intent. Half the time he gets it it's like he goes "oh well Messi's not here so what does it even matter" and just punts it straight into the defender in frustration. Child-like mentality.

    Xavi Hernández

I think something like simple overlaps from the wing back is something we could benefit a lot from. We're able to progress it to the winger a lot but from there we're pretty clueless. Solid weapon in those situations that's easy to train and implement No reason why we shouldn't do this...

    Sergio Busquets

Could be nice having a player that you can actually pass the ball to instead of a spectating kapellmeister.
  7. BusiTheKing

    Jordi Alba

He could easily have intercepted the ball to the winger on the second goal. Got nervous and chickened out.

    Ferran Jutgla

I liked his running off the ball a lot. His lay-off game is also much better than Depay's. Looks hungry and seems to have the right instincts.

    Ousmane Dembélé

In a not unhumourous turn of events, Dembele's creative passing has become his greatest asset.

    Ernesto Valverde

My initial comment was about Valverde's points-per-game stat domestically being maintained by Setien for that season. When I then say "Setien actually did better," I think it's pretty clear that I was still speaking within the context of points-per-game domestically.
  12. BusiTheKing

    Ernesto Valverde

I said that Setien did better points wise domestically with the same team. I specifically said that I'm NOT commenting on who, all things considered, was a better coach.

    Ernesto Valverde

i'm willing to forgive being called "sick in the head" for referencing a whoscored statistic mate it's all good

    Ernesto Valverde

can you come out and play please Messigician, you have me all curious.
  15. BusiTheKing

    Ernesto Valverde

Like, I accept that I might be wrong or that whoscored have faulty numbers, but I'm going to need more than "BBZ disproved this" to convince me.

    Ernesto Valverde

Valverde's winning recipe relied mostly on lulling the opponent into the marshes of his anodyne football, setting the table for Messi-Suarez to strike incisively through the coagulated blandness of our games. His relied on the fact that domestic opponents were mostly happy to accept these...

    Okay?

    Ernesto Valverde

    I'm not arguing who's a better coach. I'm stating a fact.
  20. BusiTheKing

    Ernesto Valverde

Valverde got 40 points in 19 games. Setien got 42 points in 19 games.
