Have you seen the groups of Leipzig and Gladbach this season in which they qualified for the knockouts?

    Thiago Translantara

Makes you wonder why they always 4/4 or 3/4 make it out of their CL groups with how awful they actually are.

    Premier League 2020/2021

Green line looks fine. Don't look at the triceps, but draw the line further until the top edge of his shoulder. But Firminos foot just doesn't look like where the blue line is there. Maybe the resolution of the image is too low, or the lines are too fat but it looks like it's almost 10cm...

    Premier League 2020/2021

I mean if Firminos foot is indeed in front of anything that a Leicester player can legally play the ball with then yes, it SHOULD not be offside. That's the rule. Only issue I take with this call, is that I don't see how Firminos foot is possibly at the blue line that is drawn there.

    Thiago Translantara

he played in Bundesliga which is basically high line pressing galore, yes he can manage PL though he cant carry Liverpool at the moment. If Trent or Mane joined Liverpool this season, people would also say they "struggle with the league". All Liverpool players look shite right now, even though...

pretty sure that's just team form right now. Watch Liverpool bounce back at some point and Thiago get called a top 3 Premier League midfielder next year.

Allison plays like a meme whenever I watch a Liverpool game.

    Dayot Upamecano

How is "resigning", "sitting in the stands" or "going abroad" not enacting an inferior mindset? "Oh no, this competition is to tough urrgh. Maybe if I just sit on the floor and cry very loud, I will get my way." Imagine earning 5m per year to boycott work because "it's so tough and unfair" while...

Boateng might leave, his contract runs out at the end of the year and he has not signed a new one. Pavard is the only rightback, Nianzou has been injured since he joined and Suele could get sold. Hernandez idk, he's Bayerns best defender but somehow not a favourite of Flick. There's a chance he...

They do adapt although I don't think they surrender to it. Take Sancho for example: His contract ran until 2022, and it was clear that a succesfull English talent will eventually want to return. So what they did in 2019 was offering him a 1 year extension to 2023, which Sancho would normally...

Kagawa had a contract till 2013, and was sold in 2012. Sahins contract had a release clause, which was dated at a high price if he transfered within the league, and a lower price if a club abroad triggered it. Well Dong Won Ji was supposed to be a backup they signed for free from Augsburg...

    Bayern München

No I really don't. Explain it, what "ambition" are they supposed to show? Regular deep runs in the CL give about 50m in price money performance related. This is not enough in modern football to make it as a top club when a qatari sheikh or russian oligarch nonchalantly pumps in 300m into a club...

    Bayern München

What does "ambition" to keep them mean? In reality ambition is just a fancy word for: They are not owned by some shady multi-billion dollar sheikh that can give the entire squad >10m+ contracts. And "shipping abroad" or demanding a fee is not possible. They can't make Lewandowski sign a...

    Bayern München

It really is a myth. Lewandowski essentially ran his contract down and refusing to get sold elsewhere, Goetze came through release clause and Hummels was in his last year of contract. Contrary to very popular assumption but Dortmund isn't actually a selling club. Go back the past 10 years, all...

    Arjen Robben

I think you're underrating 2009/2010 Robben. That man singlehandedly dragged Bayern to a CL final and Netherlands douhandedly (+ Sneijder) to a WC final. Just to give some popular examples of what he did that year. Because of this goal (4:27) Bayern advanced to the quarterfinal on away goals...

    Bayern München

Well I'd have to agree. 2013 was certainly more complete. The lack of Lewandowski was at least countered with Robbery, the defense is vastly superior, Neuer is still Neuer, Alaba was balling and Heynckes > Flick. Lewandowski and Kimmich would walk into the 2013 side though, they are that good.

Perisic been one of Inters best players for several years and also played great at Bayern. And Croatia not to forget, especially in that one world cup. Dembele, Sahin, Kagawa, Mikhi, G?tze, am I missing anyone? That makes around 6 players that turned out good (because I forgot to add...

    Bayern München

Stuff like "more impressive trebles" or "tougher era" is just vibes. And quite frankly: I think sides from early 2000s looked great back then, but would shit the bed today. Everything in the sport gradually improves with every decade passing: Speed, strength, nutrition, medicine, tactic...

    Bayern München

Lewa, Auba, Perisic, Hummels and then you can make an argument for Pulisic performing significantly better for Chelsea than he did for Dortmund.

    Bayern München

There is no evidence to any of the thesises made here. People say one team was supposedly more "era defining" or "romantic" simply because they vibe more with it. How do you statistically define "era definement" other than subjective factors?
