    Gerard Deulofeu

Yea he is. Took him a couple of games to make the position permanent after coming back from injury and was dropped after a poor performance against Liverpool but while he's not undroppable I would classify him as a starter. We are entering an easy period of fixtures so hopefully he might clock...

    Gerard Deulofeu

I thought that was before he scored his 2nd of the night.

    Gerard Deulofeu

I know I was only joking. Deulofeu now just 2 goals away from becoming all time top scorer of Spain U21. Pretty good for a a winger.

Gerry better stop this. Barca may actually want him back.

    John Stones

If a deal was to take place I wouldn't be surprised if it was along those lines but I think he's too early for Barca and before he's ready we will sell him probably to Chelsea. Normally when players hand in a transfer request they are sold within 6m-12m even if it's rejected.

    John Stones

The short answer is he's the English Pique. Very young still and is prone to have the odd poor game but ozzes class when on the ball and is excellent one on one. He's potentially good enough to play for Barca. It's a shame he didn't play tonight. If he did England may not have had to pass back...

    Jamie Vardy

It's a real shame he didn't play today. His all action run all day attitude with pace and directness is what England needed. They are never going to out class teams like Spain so they should probably play to their traditional strengths.

    Gerard Deulofeu

He would be on the bench ;) Deulofeu is great but if you were to watch him for a whole game not just his highlights you would tear your hair out from all the misplaced passes and times the cross hits the first man. He's developing well and I am a bit worried about the buyback in 18 months but...

    Munir El Haddadi

I don't know. You would have to ask Martinez but playing devil's advocate maybe he thinks playing both Mirallas and Deulofeu would cause us to turn over possession too easily and hurt us defensively. While Deulofeu has a killer cross and through ball he doesn't half turn over the simplest of...

    Munir El Haddadi

I know but either is Kone or Naismith and that's who Martinez is playing there. :-) In our first season Martinez liked to play a play maker (Pienaar) on the left and but now he prefers to play a 2nd striker however not a big target man, more a striker/winger. I'm not sure if that is by design...

    Munir El Haddadi

We desperately need a decent left sided forward. We have Kone, Mirallas, McGeady, Naismith and Lennon who can play there but frankly none are really either what we need or good enough. We need someone to knit the play together similar to what Pienaar did but also do the job of Kone (target man)...

    Munir El Haddadi

Really? I've only seen players getting slower. I can't think of any that have increased their speed with age. In my opinion he's too slow to be one of the top players in the world i.e. good enough for Barca. He would have to have incredible vision to make up for that and frankly he's got nice...

    Breel Embolo

Bollocks I was hoping we were going to get him as a replacement for Lukaku however for 30m I think I would prefer to keep Rom.

    He has that.

    Jamie Vardy

I've no problem with that. Football has become too sanitized.

    Jamie Vardy

I agree with what Wenger says although ironically it was his Arsenal that set the premiership on the way to play a more technical strategic style. It's not just Vardy or the other strikers mentioned. You see this with early FA cup games which is what gives the FA cup even today it's magic...

    Gerard Deulofeu

I agree there's too many variables to even talk about the buyback.

    Gerard Deulofeu

I still don't think he would agree to it. I think the only way Deulofeu would return is if he was returning as a starter not someone to fight for a position as a young player. He may want to do that when he's 25 or later in his career but not when he's still learning and getting better with...

    Gerard Deulofeu

Very good game today. Another fantastic through ball but what was most encouraging was he went on a few dribbles which he hasn't been doing since his return. You can tell his confidence is starting to return.
