    Penal Madrid

They have a midweek CL game after the league clasico, we don't. So they'll probably rest more players than we will. But both teams will probably use their strongest lineups for the cup game.

    Daniel Alves

On form, Alves is probably the best RB in the world (especially when it comes to attacking). Even though his game against Valencia was meh, overall, he's been pretty good recently. His defending's a bit underrated (he was awesome defensively against RM), but rightly not what he's known for.

    Rosell Interview

Either him or Casillas IMO. Can't think of any other Real player we'd wanna sign right now. I'd rather get Hummels than Ramos though. Hummels is probably cheaper and would actually be possible to get (though he's still hard to get and expensive). Plus he isn't a walking red card.

    Messi extends contract through 2018

I doubt any club can afford to pay the 250m anyways (besides the sugar daddy clubs).

    Who should replace Valdés?

I'd rather not have Ramos. He's a walking red card. Besides, RM won't be willing to sell Ramos anyway. Especially not to a rival. Hummels would be way better. Younger, probably cheaper (still expensive though), and we actually have a chance of getting him (still hard to get though). Not to...

    Who should replace Valdés?

Casillas would be awesome, and he does fit Barca (speaks Spanish, plays for the Spanish NT, is short, etc). We all know it's not happening though. He's not gonna pull a Figo.

    Penal Madrid

2 years. I believe the last time they lost at home was to us in 2011. But yes, it'll most likely be decided at old trafford. I definitely think Man U are the favorites though. Btw, speaking of being unbeaten at home, we haven't lost a home game in the CL since the group stages of the 2009-10...

Transfers and Rumours - old thread

Well, if he's not getting playing time for the 4th placed team (who were mid-table for a large part of the season) in Serie A, I doubt he's good enough for Barca. I hear he's 5th choice for Milan (and yes, I realize they have good starting strikers in El Shaarawy and Balotelli).

    Penal Madrid

They probably won't win it in the first leg (after all, the first leg's in the Bernabeu), but I definitely see them going through. Maybe they'll even get a comfortable win at home. Again, the way Real have been playing, it's definitely possible. I'd definitely say Man U are the favorites atm...

    Frank Lampard

Maybe he's playing well because he wants to show his worth, and why he should get the extension. Maybe they shouldn't give him the contract until the end of the season so he keeps it up :p

    Penal Madrid

The way Real have been playing, they will.

    Who should replace Valdés?

We seem to like buying from Valencia (almost as much as we like buying from Arsenal). Haven't seen a lot of Diego Alves, but he'd be a decent choice from what I've heard. I'd rather get Ter Stegen or Courtois (he'll be hard to get, I know) though.

    Neymar - v2

Maybe we (or whoever ends up getting him) can buy him and then loan him out to the Portuguese, Dutch or maybe French league for a year. He's probably gonna wanna play for a top club in a top league right away though. Maybe he can succeed right away at PSG (since the French league's the weakest...

    Oscar dos Santos Emboaba Júnior

Indeed. Those 2 kickstarted Barca's run of 5 seasons (and counting) as the best team in the world (though there was a slump last year).

    Neymar - v2

The smaller clubs/clubs in weaker leagues can't afford to pay what Santos will want for him. And he'd want to play for a top club in a top league right away, so I doubt we could buy him and then loan him to a weaker league. Btw, I'd LOL if Neymar left for free in 2014. Hummels + Ter Stegen +...

    Neymar - v2

Looks like management have stepped up their interest in Hummels. Definitely a step in the right direction. That pretty much instantly gives me more faith in them. I'm actually not opposed to signing Neymar (I'm on the fence). Management has to decide though, is he a risk worth taking? He has...

    Neymar - v2

From what I've heard of Bale, he wouldn't fit us, he'd fit RM far better (again, from what I've heard). Anyways, good news for you. http://www.football-espana.net/28092/barca-make-aguero-bid. I've seen a few other reports. Speaking of Aguero, can he play on RW? Coz Iniesta has the LW...

    Thiago Translantara

Maybe he wants to play for a team that wins more trophies. But yes, he'd most likely be starting for Brazil right now. It looks like they could use someone like him to control the midfield. Still though, he's more likely to win a world cup with Spain. Even by the time he starts for Spain, I can...

    Neymar - v2

True enough. The fact of the matter is though, Neymar's unproven and a risk. Could pay off big time, but he's still a risk. This game didn't exactly help his case, but good point, the whole team did play badly.

    Neymar - v2

What do you guys think about Aguero? I've seen a few reports linking us to him. He'll be expensive as shit though. If we wanna play it safe and go for someone more proven though, he'd be a good choice. Btw, how does Neymar usually do against that Dede guy? I hear he's the best defender in the...
