Messi stated himself that Villa being on the pitch helped him. Villa's lack of playing time has nothing to do with the club "bending over backwards" for Messi.

If Villa leaves, Aguero would be a good replacement. I'd rather get Aguero than Falcao or Cavani, since he can play out wide. We might want to use Messi on RW against bus-parking teams, but otherwise, we should stick to Messi at false 9 with someone like Villa or Aguero on one of the wings.

We should definitely buy a new CB to replace Puyol. IMO, Bartra should replace Masch as the backup CB next season. As for Muniesa, he should be loaned out, since he won't get a lot of playing time.

True. Unless we find a way to be strong defensively while playing Alves and Alba, don't use them together. Use Alba/Montoya, Alves/Abidal, or maybe even Alves/Montoya (Montoya can play on the left) instead. Maybe have Busquets drop back to help the CBs? A fast CB would also help IMO.

Yeah, 25m seems a bit excessive for an 18 year old. He'd be a good buy if we could get him cheap though (about 10-15m). Not as the starting CB (yet), but to add depth.

Tbh, I think I'd rather get Hummels than Silva since Hummels is younger and Silva is injury prone. I agree Silva would be awesome for us, but his injury proneness would be a problem IMO.
