IMO, Luiz Gustavo - intelligent, technical, good passing, good defending, could play CB in worst case (certainly much better than Song anyway) and he has a lot of experience + I like Brazilian players :)

I've seen him play on the left twice and he did better both times than yesterday. Tbh, yesterday he wasn't comfortable when he played on the right either... Edit: I still have my doubts he is an OK backup for us - if I could play a little FM with our team he would be sold together with Masch...

That + that Masch got injured. Sometimes a seasoned starter needs to get injured for a youngster to get some time - this is what happened and Bartra really took advantage of it. So happy we keep producing players :)
