Shouldn't have signed him. Not a needle mover especially at that price.

Year Messi and Barca has ruined football for me. It is what it is.

Also like @jamrock . I must have watched maybe 10 to 15 games so far this season from various leagues. Not as much as some. And hardly any have not bored me. Is it my age and cynicism? Or is football genuinely more boring now, too oversaturated and all games blending into one?

Liverpool are the last team you wanna try and play out from the back dangerously against.

    Premier League 25/26

Think last season was maybe one of his best statistically but his all-round game and performances were best in his first few years. That's normal with him being 32 last season and losing some pace and energy and playing in moments more. Just my opinion, though.

He's so good though that even him in minor decline is better than almost or maybe every other attacker in the league.

Lol why do you guys dislike each other so much? I enjoy reading both your posts. Is it just clashing on Frenkster?

    Pep Guardiola

Yes. Good upper mid-table players a lot of them, but average by the standards City are accustomed to and their previous legendary players. Obviously if they wanna finish top four then these players should be enough (though they're struggling early in the season, but think they will improve)...

Saliba, Saka and Odegaard. Three of their key players. They struggle at Anfield in recent years enough as it is.

    Premier League 25/26

I was. It's obvious good players can play in struggling teams. And if I didn't genuinely believe that, I'd still be sticking to my guns on that. The fact I have admitted I was being facetious instantly proves I was. We'll see. I tend to be right on the PL too. So this could be an unstoppable...

    Pep Guardiola

What's going on here? maybe there's just not enough brilliant players in football anymore. In the past they targeted brilliant players (for example Toure), or up and coming players ready to explode ( for example KDB). Nowadays they're going after 'decent mid-table players'. Mid table players...

    Premier League 25/26

Maybe I don't particularly like them but suppose I prefer them to the three red teams and Chelsea, so hope they can figure it out. I have nothing against Reijnders, and to be fair it is very unfair to judge him relative to elite players like Toure, Rodri, Silva etc. But unfortunately for him...

    Premier League 25/26

Fair enough. I think you are both good posters. I just don't see it with this guy (at the level City operate I mean). I agree that De Jong is a much better player than this guy, too.
  19. Maradona37

    Premier League 25/26

Fair enough. Maybe 'average' was harsh. He's a good player in general but relative to their past players who won huge trophies, he's mediocre. He'd be fine for Spurs or Villa who aren't expected to win anything.
  20. Maradona37

    Premier League 25/26

Obviously I was being facetious with that. But the point is, do you see this guy being a factor in a team that wins PL or CL? He's fine if you wanna fight for top 4 I guess, but he's never gonna be of the level of their past players.
