    UEFA Champions League 2014-15

    1. PSG are a far better team than Porto. 2. Man City are far better than 10-man Shakhar Donetsk. 3. Barcelona are locked in a tough domestic league battle, Bayern are strolling their league, to put it mildly. 4. Juventus are also without any serious domestic competition. 5. Monaco was...

    UEFA Champions League 2014-15

Yes, my point was that precisely, we keep getting tough draws (not just this season) while our major opponents more often than not get the far easier draws, what's so wrong about pointing that fact out? My second point was that Bayern and Juventus not only got mega lucky with the draw (both in...

I am not saying that we are at a disadvantage. I am only saying that we have been extremely unlucky yet again in a CL draw. I agree with you that if the team plays up to its potential, with Suarez improving and Neymar rediscovering his shooting boots, then we should be going through for sure...

    UEFA Champions League 2014-15

The only clearly tougher teams than PSG can be said to be Bayern and Real Madrid (once in form) I would also maybe add Juventus to that list, since they have zero competition in their domestic league, and that will allow them to save everything for the CL. PSG are definitely extremely tough...

If you can factually counter my claims in that post, then please do so, instead of describing my post as "whining".

    UEFA Champions League 2014-15

Really atrocious draw for us once again in the CL, we can't get any luck at all it seems. PSG are a really tough opponent, and we have to play like we did against City (but with better finishing) in order to go through. I am also certain that PSG have been massively boosted by the heroic...

When they beat us, it was without Zlatan. We beat them when they had Zlatan on. I am not saying that this fact exhausts the argument, but I think that Zlatan's usefulness in big games, where lots of running and pace is requires is extremely limited. Keep also in mind that PSG eliminated Chelsea...

I wish I could find something positive to say about this, but no, it is impossible. This simply means that we have to win the Clasico, and make sure our players are in peak physical condition, otherwise we are in for a very rough ride in April.

It all depends on the period in which the teams in question have played. Bayern were lucky to meet Barca/Real mostly during the glory years of Bayern, and the down years of Real/Barca. If you take things overall, the Big 2 of Spain have a superior European track record to Bayern Munich.

Only silver lining there, is that Sevilla are in Europe as well, and will be playing on Thursdays. But that is some nightmarish schedule right there. No two ways about it.

That stat is beyond meaningless. Bayern had a good history with Real Madrid as well, until they got annihilated 5-0.

    UEFA Champions League 2014-15

The CL owes us a good draw for some time now, but with out luck, I fear the worst! My hoped for draw for tomorrow is: Barcelona - Porto Atletico Madrid - Monaco Real Madrid - PSG Bayern Munchen - Juventus Our possible opponents from toughest to easiest: 1. Bayern Munich 2. Real...

CL: Barca - Man City 1-0 (3-1 agg.)

As for the match itself, Barca played one of its best ever CL games (except for the finishing part, obviously) and should have won by a 5 goal margin at the very least. In a way, this may prove to be a blessing in disguise, since such a result would inevitably have inflated our egos, raised...

CL: Barca - Man City 1-0 (3-1 agg.)

Fans, journalists and pundits of the EPL, have been smack and in denial for far too long to acknowledge/comprehend/accept that their league was never as great as they thought it was. Even during their brief golden period of 2006 to 2009, it was only the EPL Big 4 that was doing remarkably well...
