The problem wasn't that Thiago's not a starter. The problem was that we didn't rotate well and he wasn't played enough. As long as he gets enough playing time, I think Gundogan wouldn't mind being a backup, especially considering that Xavi's aging and he'll be a starter in a few seasons. As...

It's Tito's fault that Thiago might leave. His rotation was shit and Thiago was underplayed. Had Thiago deservedly got more playing time, we wouldn't have this situation.

Nope, the issue's been caused by Tito's shit rotation. Use Thiago (or Gundogan if he leaves) as the Xavi backup and Cesc as the Iniesta backup. AND ROTATE WELL. Problem solved.

Cesc can't play in the Xavi role. And Roberto isn't good enough to replace him. Which is why we need someone like Gundogan if Thiago leaves.

Not so sure that he'll definitely leave, but there's definitely a chance he will. And yeah, I can't think of a good replacement besides Gundogan.

As we all know, Thiago might leave this summer. If he does, who do you think we should replace him with? I'd go with Gundogan. Best future Xavi replacement aside from Thiago imo. I realize the poll options kinda suck, but I can't think of that many good replacements :lol:

We'll need someone to replace Xavi in the future, he's not getting any younger. Roberto's not that guy. Gundogan is. Get him and rotate him heavily with Xavi.

If Thiago leaves, I'd go for Gundogan. He'd be the best replacement IMO. I'm guessing he'd cost 25-30m, give or take.
