    Thiago Translantara

Sergi Samper is like 18. Doubt he'll be good enough to replace Xavi by the time he (Xavi) retires. Plus, he won't be in the first team for a while, and we need a backup for Xavi right away if Thiago leaves, since Xavi will need to be rested often due to his age. Plus, isn't he more of a CDM...

    Thiago Translantara

Isco isn't the player we need if Thiago leaves. He's more of a CAM/Iniesta-type. Not a midfield controller like Xavi or Thiago.

    Francesc "Tito" Vilanova

Maybe because Madrid were shit (making La Liga easy) and because Messi had to bail him out constantly? And don't even get me started on our shit performances in big games. Or his shit handling of youngsters. The reason the rumors about Thiago leaving exist.

    Francesc "Tito" Vilanova

This. Thiago's our best prospect (except MAYBE Neymar) and most likely Xavi's replacement. If Tito seriously doesn't rate Thiago or makes no effort to keep him, he should be sacked. Especially if Thiago does leave. Btw, the board need to do everything they can to make sure Thiago stays. If...

    Thiago Translantara

Only playing him in one of the 4 pointless games at the end of the season was still a dumb decision. Tito deserves a large portion of the blame for not playing Thiago enough. Even if Tito didn't know about the clause, Thiago was still underplayed. He's our best prospect. So if playing him in...

    Thiago Translantara

So he's not to blame when he could have prevented that clause by playing him in one of the pointless games at the end of the season? Ok. Not playing him for the full 90 minutes in all 4 of those games (let alone only starting him in one) was an absolutely retarded decision.

    Thiago Translantara

+∞ Tito's the only one to blame for this situation. Not Cesc. And definitely not Pep.

    Francesc "Tito" Vilanova

Yeah, we did play well in the first leg and get unlucky there. I'll give you that one. But we were shit in the second leg. I lost count of the sitters Madrid missed. We got dominated and were simply awful in that game. And lucky not to get owned.

    Francesc "Tito" Vilanova

Giving him another chance means a big risk of a repeat of this season next season. Shit performances in big games, etc. Even in the first half of the season, we did badly in big games, i.e. we were lucky not to get owned in the Super Cup. Still, it looks like he's staying, so I hope he proves me...

    Francesc "Tito" Vilanova

So, I'm spoiled for being pissed about us getting humiliated in most of the big games? Ok.

    Francesc "Tito" Vilanova

We barely won some of the games in our unbeaten run, like the 5-4 against Deportivo. Plus, we were humiliated in a lot of big games. With the players we have, that's unacceptable.

    Thiago Translantara

My point is, this particular situation (Rumors of Thiago leaving because his coach didn't give him enough playing time) would never have happened under Pep.
  13. darthvader7888

    Thiago Translantara

Well, Pep played and trusted him a lot more than Tito (see last season: 1000 more minutes than this season). Thiago would have played a lot more this season if Pep were the coach.
  14. darthvader7888

    Thiago Translantara

Yeah, I have little doubt that this situation would never have happened under Pep.
  15. darthvader7888

    Martin Montoya

I think he's talking about Alves in his prime. Not the current Alves.
  16. darthvader7888

    5 - Carles Puyol

    +1

    Thiago Translantara

Plz stay  Rotate better and give Thiago more playing time. Sell Cesc IF necessary (I don't think it is, but many here seem to).
  18. darthvader7888

    Thiago Translantara

IF we need to sell either him or Cesc (don't think we do), I'd get rid of Cesc.
  19. darthvader7888

    Thiago Translantara

Plz stay... If he leaves, #TitoOut
  20. darthvader7888

    Who should replace Thiago?

Well, Xavi's not getting any younger, so we can't just get some mediocre player. Besides, if we get him, he'll be a starter soon enough.
