    Alexandre Pato

I think Pato is helped by the fact he's a little bigger and slightly more skillful. I'd still say Bojan is the better finisher. He's got decent pace and close control but I wouldn't say he's skillful. So Pato is always likely to make more of an impact. Under Rijkaard we were forced to play Bojan...

    Andrés Iniesta

That's a really interesting table. 3 games without them both and 3 defeats  it shows the importance of the Xaviesta midfield partnership though.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v1

That's disgusting. Agree though about in Spain, if that happened in England and the club complained there would most probably be action taken. It is worrying because god forbid one of those wankers gives him a serious injury. The nature of his style will lead to knocks, many unintentional but...

    Real Madrid (old thread)

Haha The Sun apparently said Real will bid £30m for Gerrard in the summer  I think he'd be awful in La Liga, he doesn't have the composure to play in that kind of league.

    The Old Firm

I refer to myself as English personally. Agree with Adam though, Welsh and Scottish can refer to themselves as that and be proud of it fairly unhassled, whereas an English person ends up classified as right wing BNP. I know the circumstances are different as Wales and Scotland are the...

    The Old Firm

Salmond is an absolute plank. Did you see him whining the other day because he wasn't going to be a part of the series of debates between Brown, Cameron and Clegg, what a fool.

    Champions league 09-10

I think him having a good game is rarer than him scoring

    The Old Firm

It's an arse of a word to spell, but seen as he went to the effort of picking you up on it he should have realised it's spelt 'independent'. It changes to an A in dependant, which always catches me out. Anyway don't see how the BNP are related to this, seen as we were talking about England and...

    Andrés Iniesta

Clearly is, either that or he's just absolutely deluded with no understanding of football.

    Champions league 09-10

Thing was Atleti were pretty dangerous in the first half and were moving the ball around really nicely. But then Antonio Lopez fucked up twice and it was game over. Very embarrassing for them. Lampard was outstanding tonight, sorry but plenty of the touches and passes (including the first goal...

    The Old Firm

Not in football terms though Hamzah, in football you're Scottish, as are Rangers and Celtic. A British league would be horrible and destroy decades of tradition.

    Robinho

Lol that was pretty good I got to hand it to CTID.

    The Old Firm

The Welsh league is tiny and those clubs have played in England since the early 20th C. Plus the fact that geographically it's much easier for Welsh clubs to play English teams. Scotland is ridiculously far from London, let alone the south coast. More importantly the Welsh don't moan and bitch...

    Pep Guardiola

Cool, well either of them would be a quality addition for that LW role. As long as we don't do too badly until then we should be ok. It's the 2nd half of the season when depth really comes into play, so as long as some cover is in by then. Also with Henry's lay off he should be pretty fresh when...

    The Old Firm

Yeh that would be the fairest way, although it would be awful. I wouldn't watch it anymore if that happened.
  16. Cal-FCB

    Andrés Iniesta

The thing is to have the viewpoint of Justin you have to have watched such a minimal amount of Iniesta. He probably only saw the Chelsea games and the final. Anyone who saw more than 3 games of Iniesta last season would understand just exactly what he brings to the team.

    Pep Guardiola

Given our lack of depth is it likely we might buy in January? I know it's generally a crap time to buy but if Pep demands it?

    The Old Firm

Good stuff, wouldn't be happy with them joining the English leagues. Stay north of the border please.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v1

I know, I've always agreed with that. But you look at ratings given in every newspaper and website, even Football Manager the players start at a 6 and move up or down. Can't beat em, join em.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v1

Maybe I overrated him on a 7 but he should be nowhere below a 6 IMO. Sub 6 is a bad performance, as in a player made a lot of errors or was totally anonymous. He was crowded out throughout the game yet lost the ball a hell of a lot less than the likes of Iniesta.
