Quite honestly I was unimpressed with him for Bayern in the CL, I didn't really understand the hype around him. What a tournament he's had though. Such a well rounded player, he plays with such maturity given his age.

Definitely the length and intensity of the season IMO. The top players at the big clubs are playing so many games it's crazy. They've then got to hit top form and energy levels again for a WC at the end. Such a shame so many players are missing out.
