Sure, not spending makes sure we are improving financially, but if we don't spend at all, the club can't move forward. There are less potential stars coming out of La Masia than there were when this current generation started, we can't continue to rely on it because we're cheap & incompetent...

Rosell knew what he was doing when he unbanned some of the ultras. Now they can't rebel against his board because the next president might ban them again.

Unfortunately, this goes back to when he was president too. However, he & his board were still miles ahead of Rosell. As you said, he cared about Barca. He treated it like a football club & not a business, which always wins points in my book. Would love to see him back.

That's a whole other argument that depends on whether it's true or not that other clubs are being investigated, and what comes of that. It certainly is ridiculous if we end up being the only ones investigated/punished, and the way FIFA operates I can't say it would surprise me. But regardless...

Re: Dortmund, it's a vicious cycle really. Top players don't see them as a club that can truly give them glory, but they can't become that type of attractive club without a core of top players who want to stay, nor do they have the pocketbook or storied history (compared to several other clubs)...
