    Daniel Alves

Fans are bitter and jaded by the last few years of constant humiliations and failures. The likes of Pique, Alba and Busquets have declined heavily over that time and are easy scapegoats. Alves, on the other hand, left in 2016 when times were still relatively good so we have a much more...

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi

In someway sad to see the Messi and and Ronaldo fanboys that have lived vicariously through them attempting to rationalize their idols' declines. The helpless desperation as they cling on the last few years of relevancy before having to face an identity crisis themselves. Ronaldo disciples have...

    Champions League

See what happened to Chelsea when they went from Lampard to Tuchel. United have flaws in the middle of the park, but the rest of their squad is still far too strong not to be in contention for the big trophies. This season I don't see them doing much better than 2nd-4th in the league, 10+...

Messi fanboys can rest easy. Ole won't be sacked anytime soon and United aren't winning anything big.

    Memphis Depay

Hopefully becomes our Salah. Flops at a big club, rehabilitates at a mid-tier European team and takes off at another giant later in his career.

    20 - Dani Olmo

75m better be nonsense. Laporta taking a page out of Barto's book if true. Panic-buy late into the window squandering all the money gained by sales throughout the summer. If we cannot find a good a deal, just save the money for the next transfer window. There is no football law that states net...

    Antoine Griezmann

Depay + healthy Ansu should be enough cover to finish in the top 4. Atleti would be strengthened, but we would also get some much needed financial relief. If it's a loan is should be an obligation to buy, if it's simply an option we are doing Atleti a favour while getting nothing in return...

    Antoine Griezmann

Who cares. This season was always going to be transitional. If we can offload this useless sod's wages while getting a decent fee back, it would go a long way in making one or two quality signings possible next summer.

    Antoine Griezmann

Antoine Griezmann to Atletico Madrid is moving very fast - talks on over a €50m transfer, if Atletico can't agree to this, then Barcelona are willing to do a loan with option to buy that would see Atletico pay the fee next summer. [l'equipe]

    Edinson Cavani

Long as the fee and wages are reasonable, he would not be a terrible option on a short term and rotational basis. Unlike Aguero or Mandzukic he has shown he still has some quality. Was decent for United last season in the much more intense and difficult PL.

PSG may be waiting out Madrid until the last possible moment to get the largest fee. Madrid have spent the past two years preparing for this transfer and are desperate for it to go through. According to French and Spanish media Madrid have already offered ~180m. Clearly they want Mbappe this...

Let’s be clear, Man City didn’t walk away from CR7, they were happy to do it but lost out. [Sam Lee] The deal was done for City yesterday, but once United got involved it was over.

United fans have irrationally loved the bloke for over a decade after he left the club and that's where his legacy is. If they are in for him it doesn't make sense for Cristiano to choose any other PL club. Agreed that any major trophy with United has more value than hopping onto the back of...

    Cr150

Big issue is his wages. Juventus are not as bad as us financially, but have their own problems and need a rebuild. Makes sense for them to want to offload Cristiano. City have a much better squad and lack goalscorers. Ronaldo could suit them as a stop-gap.

    Cr150

If I recall correctly he was third best goalscorer in Europe last season. Hardly finished. No reason to believe he cannot provide 20-25 goals for the next two seasons. There are levels to this game. Even a heavily declined Ronaldo brings a lot.
