    SSC Napoli

One of my favorite Maradona stories was how Cannavaro was almost beat up by their teammates after putting in a hard tackle on him in practice

    SSC Napoli

Valdano was superior to Butragueno in their time together as Buitre only peaked in the late 80s-early 90s. As for Maradona, let me quote myself:

    10 - Lionel Messi - v4

He doesn't owe Argentina anything. The so-called Player of the People has won jack shit, has a horrible goal record, and gets a lot of love from their press, but the guy who will probably end up holding all major records for Argentina gets shat on? FFS he should've just chosen to play for Spain...

    David Villa

Villa-Pirlo is like an ultimate dream pairing from the mid-to-late 00's, that finally came true about 6 years too late  Does anyone know if Villa ever spoke about their UCL defeat to RM? I don't recall him ever speaking about it. Still wish he would've stayed in Europe for 2-3 more years...

    Nani

A player that some United fans regard as Di Maria's equal just got sold for peanuts

    Arda Turan

Great addition for Barca, while weakening your closest rival at the same time, but bad news for La Masia grads.

    Martin Montoya

Atleti and Inter have owned this transfer window so far. The loan deal is a win-win scenario for Inter as well. Maybe Thohir really is the real deal.

    Xherdan Shaqiri

So Stoke will field the next Messi and the Alpine Messi at the same time? :worthy:

Transfer screams 'Madrid panic buy'

    James Rodriguez

Ramos to United Iker to retirement Ronaldo to PSG/MLS James to Barca next, please!

    Sergio Ramos

Never in my life has any one player stood up to Madrid like Ramos is doing now. There is literally no way he goes out of this a loser as he'll be a fan favorite in either Madrid or Manchester, no matter where he goes. Looking at the big picture, this reminds me of how Real's first galactico era...

    Liverpool

If you didn't bottle the Suarez transfer fee, you should be challenging for the League this year instead of 3rd/4th. Great transfer window so far for Liverpool, how they got Clyne for that price is astonishing. Southampton must've given them a discount after ripping them off last year

    Gerard Deulofeu

Duelo found the club that fits his level. If he plays well, he can still earn that big money move. I don't think he'll make it back to Barca though, probably City/Chelsea/PSG in 2-3 years.

    Matías Kranevitter

I wonder if Cholo will rotate Saul and Kranevitter or use them at the same time. Now that's one great selection problem to have. They possibly have the best midfield in the Big 3 leagues right now after Chelsea. He also ensures that Mendes won't be able to hold them hostage if he threatens to...

    Matías Kranevitter

Atleti's impressive transfer window continues with the acquisition of the player dubbed as the next Mascherano, reportedly for only 8m. Solid young-ish player who can do a bit of everything, though he isn't head-and-shoulders above everyone in one facet of his game yet. Not afraid to get stuck...

    2015 Copa América

Jara's flop at the end after molesting Cavani had me rolling  He even waited for the ref's reaction to Cavani flicking his face before falling to the ground

    Roberto Firmino

Sterling isn't worth 50m, Firmino isn't worth 42m, but Firmino is a lot closer to what Liverpool paid for him than Sterling is to his supposed value. A lot of people forget how Suarez (and Sturridge to a lesser extent) made Sterling (and that whole team tbh) look so good. Luisito is the real...

    Sergio Ramos

Ramos is good for one error per game, but I don't understand why they're so desperate to get rid of him. If he is being used as a pawn for a DDG swap, is De Gea really that highly rated in Spain? Does Ramos have a history of resistance against Perez? Astounding how they are still viewed as one...

    Roberto Firmino

I think 40m is a great price considering he has had 2 great years and one good year in the BL, he's generally healthy and is a great fit for Liverpool, not to mention his age. If he continues on improving and doesn't pull a Robinho, they can squeeze out at least 60m from RM/Barca in 3-4 years...

    Douglas Pereira dos Santos

Barca has a good chance to win back to back trebles. A well rested Suarez, pissed off Neymar and a Douglas that's motivated on proving Brazil wrong for the Copa snub. It won't be fair at all :worthy:
