    Robin van Persie

http://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/transfer-window/i-could-see-manchester-united-exit-coming-robin-van-persie-joins-fenerbahce-31377265.html Really classy guy! I've never seen someone fall off so fast though, he was magnificent in his last year in Arsenal and first year at United.

    Raheem Sterling

EPL money plus the chance to grow his brand (if he's that type of guy, don't know much about his personality tbf) Berahino is meh and Benteke is good but is he better than a healthy Sturridge?

    Morgan Schneiderlin

Agreed here, though it would be somewhat disappointing to a quality MF and shoehorn him as a CB considering Schneiderlin won't be playing behind a Busquets-Raki tandem  I assume him and Herrera will start most matches with the occasional appearance by their youth and Fellaini, with Carrick...

    Morgan Schneiderlin

Was sarcastic, but it wouldn't really be a complete waste to play Schneiderlin at CB. Obviously, the ideal way is to put him in MF.

    Raheem Sterling

Where did I say they'll get 50m for him? WOAT comprehension skills I am implying that Liverpool have to spend, and even overspending (regardless if it's 30, 40 or 50m) for a genuine talent like Lacazette will be good business considering where they are. They're desperate for quality up front...

    Morgan Schneiderlin

Well Masche played at CB and it won Barca the treble. It's a new trend :worthy:

    Raheem Sterling

Like I said, they will end up overpaying, but they need quality up front and having no CL does them no favors. Plus i'd rather overspend for Lacazette than Berahino or Benteke, every day of the week. fwiw Lacazette is a lot more worthy of the 49m paid for Sterling than Sterling himself

    Morgan Schneiderlin

I don't think Di Maria and Mata fits in LVG's idea of how a midfielder should play. Blind was used more as a full back last year as well, iirc. Also, isn't it around 10.00pm in England atm? I never knew medicals were conducted at this time

    Morgan Schneiderlin

Aside from the fact that Schneirderlin himself prefers to stay in the PL, he should've been the perfect Xabi replacement last year if Perez didn't pull a Perez

    Bastian Schweinsteiger

The point being, United having a non-existent midfield, in your own words, got the best of the aforementioned teams' own stacked (less in the case of Liverpool) midfield. How is that even possible?

    Raheem Sterling

If they can get Lacazette for about 40 of the 49m, even though they end up overpaying, this window will be a success for them knowing them though, their first targets are probably the 'EPL tested' Berahino or Benteke  nah, he and his agent is angling for a move to RM/Barca when it's all...

    Raheem Sterling

Agent Txiki sabotaging City once more :worthy: tbh if Aguero-Silva-Sterling works, they'll be scary  Seems like he disappeared after joining RM, though most Madridistas say otherwise online. Wasn't able to follow his loan stint at Villareal.

    Bastian Schweinsteiger

The same doctor that Pep disrespected gave Schweini two months off to start the season. He had a knock against BVB and a really bad case of the flu as well. The Xabi signing just compounded things.

    Bastian Schweinsteiger

Their academy has always been overrated, a lot like La Masia really. They've had a couple of golden generations, but mostly they produce one decent squad player per 5 years. But spending big on players past their best? Herrera - 26 Mata - 27 Di Maria - 27 Fellaini - 27(?) Rojo - 25 Shaw - 19...

    Iker Casillas

RM with the least classiest way of sending off a club legend  What I don't understand is why they let him go first before they agreed to a deal with De Gea. Now they will be forced to pay whatever United wants.

    Bastian Schweinsteiger

I agree that you can't 'buy' a CL in the same way you can a Liga/BPL, but the scatter shot format of the tournament can actually play in favor of lesser teams. With a fortunate Ro16 draw, there are no guarantees to what they can and cannot do.

    Bastian Schweinsteiger

Why are you talking about where the teams finished when I'm talking solely about the quality of midfield? United's problem is the lack of their forwards, they had a decent MF which only improves with Schweinsteiger and possibly Schneiderlin.

    Bastian Schweinsteiger

Not with the money they're spending. Chelsea did it (albeit with one of the worst CL winning squads ever), RM did it after their dark ages, Inter Milan did it with the help of Mou. Big money will lead to quality players, that's all there is to it.

    Matteo Darmian

The Chevrolet logo looks photoshopped  but but but... nevermind

    Bastian Schweinsteiger

So non-existent that they ran City and Liverpool twice and Chelsea once? This despite having injuries galore, three different formations in less than a year, Rooney playing CM at times and LVG initially having no idea what to do with Herrera and Mata. I get that the EPL is behind La Liga and...
