    Pedro Rodriguez

Celebration after Lazio defeated Nice in Europa League last October. Pedro opened the scoring with a belter.

    Pedro Rodriguez

In some of the teams he's been on, he would have performed even better had his teammates used him properly. But he has often been surrounded by selfish or visionless players.

lol man that would really suck.

    8 - Pedri

I was surprised, tbh. And I think that's a quality the team lacks. Lots of positives, of course, but there really isn't a world class playmaker. Pedri could certainly improve, if he wants to, or if Flick makes a point of it. Olmo is quite good, especially around the penalty box, but doesn't see...

    8 - Pedri

Wow, not my perception of Pedri at all. It's the most important quality he lacks. I've made a point of watching him in isolation for a few games and he almost *never* scans when he doesn't have the ball. He's always running laterally to the ball, demanding it, and ball watching. He only scans...

    8 - Pedri

13:21-13:25 How do you not play Olmo here with Yamal next to him with a 1v1? Or wall pass it to Torres to flick on to Olmo? Instead, a bad pass trying to hit Raphinha over the top.

    8 - Pedri

As I've mentioned before, he rarely scans when he doesn't have the ball. He often only knows what is going on in the direction he is facing. Once he has the ball, he has good vision, but this playing style is always inclined to slow down the attack. FdJ, on the other hand, has improved leaps...

La Liga Round 33: Barca - Mallorca 1-0

Everything that has been missing in the past few games— intensity, speed of ball movement, accuracy, good combination wall passing. Sorely lacking in finishing but everything else was entertaining. Olmo continues to be my favorite current Barca player by some margin. Clever, creative...

La Liga Round 32: Barca - Celta 4-3

Yep,, just said the same thing a few posts back. Absolutely naive.

    8 - Pedri

I've been watching Pedri in isolation the past few games. Though he is among the best at handling the ball playing the game today, I've been pretty shocked at one aspect of his game— he's a ball-watcher. The lad barely scans the field at all when he doesn't have the ball. He *might* look over...

La Liga Round 32: Barca - Celta 4-3

Yep. Replays showed him getting kicked in the back of the leg, hard enough to make his leg fly forward. I doubted it at first, but it was clear.

La Liga Round 32: Barca - Celta 4-3

Sheesh. I'm all for a high line, but playing a naive high line is the reason this game was close. Just fucking stick a man on Iglesias and stop route 1. They let him camp out at the half line unmarked. Just dumb, over and over.

Yep. If you see the angle without the shirt pull, just looks like a clean tackle. Without the shirt pull, Messi would have been away.

CL Quarter Final: Borussia - Barca 3-5 agg.

Yeesh, another terrible game. About 10 minutes of decent play when Pedri entered the pitch, but otherwise a repeat of the last game. Sloppy, no intensity, no precision. No respect for the Dortmund players, lazy like it was a training exercise and Dortmund easily picked off their cute little pass...

La Liga Round 31: Leganes - Barca 0-1

That was a painfully dull dull dull match. No inspiration, no intensity, no precision, no vision. That Martinez tackle was by far the highlight of the game. Continues to prove his worth. That brilliant piece of skill by Lopez was the offensive highlight. Too bad he couldn't put it in the back...

    16 - Fermín López

Great game. Shut Dortmund down everywhere to launch attacks. Smart play overall.

    Champions League 2024-25

That was one of the most satisfying defeats of Real Madrid ever. All goals were brilliant, and they didn't allow Madrid any goals going into the second leg. Without Courtois, scoreline would have been even worse.
