I think everybody his afraid of Camp Nou tbh. We're more than decent as long as we get our defense together and it worked tonight...Yeah I'd be very surprised if you don't win by 2 goals or maybe 3 - Newcastle aren't great away and Barca are strong at home. They needed a lead to protect.
I don't know why they didn't just calm themselves down and play out the game. They kept attacking - Howe must be so scared of Camp Nou that he thought they needed a 2 goal lead minimum, lol. Which I'd agree with, tbh.
Definitely Barca are very strong at home, but that has always been the case, even in a still being worked on Camp Nou.I think everybody his afraid of Camp Nou tbh. We're more than decent as long as we get our defense together and it worked tonight...
In theory yes, they could score that many, but it's unusual to score 5 goals from corners or free kicks over 2 games, even when you're as good at attacking them as Arsenal and as bad at defending them as Barca.Arsenal are a shit and disgusting team but what they will do to us on set pieces alone is crazy
Inter scored 2 from corners on Montjuic and that's how they got the result in first leg. Arsenal over two legs will score at least 4-5 from corners and add to that a couple from open play so probably somewhere around 8 goals over two legs. Even with Yamal on his best it will be hard to deal with especially with them sitting in low block for rest of the time and playing their dirty game & time wasting
Even guys who were calling me ultra clueless for not rating him (serghei, te amo barca) have turned on him nowAs I knew they would, as I have known all along what a useless bluffer he is.
When a guy has:
played football for over 40 years (me);
studied the game tactically and just followed it religiously for most of the last 40 odd years (me);
watched the player in question for all his career (me on Rashford);
has proven and tested high IQ and good qualifications (me)...
the smart thing to do is to listen to that guy, especially when you haven't had anywhere near as much PL or Man United exposure as I have. Not to stubbornly argue against him.
I am losing interest in modern football, but the above is an effective concoction that leads to getting things right more than you get them wrong.
I'd also suggest the fact that so many people on here argued for playing him as a 9, including Birdy (his biggest advocate), is evidence that most of you knew very little of him as a player. I'd seen him fail as a 9 consistently and extensively when played there at United, and he even came out and admitted recently himself that he cannot do it (if the quotes are true).
Like I say to zeni after, I was just playing. Though I am genuinely not a fan of Rash.Relax bro you are forcing the w too much, nobody here likes 'smart-alecks' 🫣
He could still eventually do something - he might step up in the last two months of the season. I hope he does.@Maradona37 was right I will concede. If Flick is still not trying him as a #9 when the alternatives are grandpa Lewa and Tuna.. that speaks volumes.
