Moments last night I momentarily forgot this is the guy who had that chronic ankle issue that prevented him from his patented pausa & driving turns. He's getting better too

Flick is trying to find ways to free him up tactically.

He is by far Barcas most athletic midfielder and the way teams have been man marking Pedri and Frenkie while pushing a high line feels like Flick wants Frenkie to have more freedom to get ball in better areas to break that high line with a pass or a run more often.

Can see Yamal loves playing with Frenkie as gets the ball so often from him also Frenkie helps draw in opposition on the left and tries to leave Yamal more space when gets it.

Both him and Olmo produced some amazing passes yesterday, perfect crosses for Yamal and Raphinha - Frenkie also made dangerous runs and passes into their box.

He has been class in Real Madrid games more than any other midfielder in that tie over the last 4/5 years but dont let the truth get in the way.
