Ansu Fati (loaned to Monaco)

I think he is actually trying tbh, which is the more depressing part. Injuries killed his career before it started.
He is capable of producing a good couple of weeks like he did with Monaco and Brighton, then Injuries kills any momentum

We extended his contract, so he's on 9M per season now. Monaco has a deal with us until next summer. We have him until summer 2028 now. Yup, will be tough to secure a new loan where we don't pay almost 100% of his wage - only alright possibility would be US or Arabs if they take him for "free" (and take over his wage), but even that is far fetched. So now we'll probably have to loan him out and pay like 80% of his wage and pray he'll do alright so we "sell" him for free in his last season lol.

It's a shame that it didn't work out with this guy, man he had so much potential and I wanted him to succeed so much even more than Lamine Yamal. The reasons why he didn't succeed though go to 2 reasons mostly - Injuries and lack of hard work. We all know that Flick is a meritocratic manager and even with that Fati could not get any minutes, and I see that as a proof that Fati just didn't work hard enough to warrant him to even be considered in the starting 11. Man, it really is frustrating that all this happened but I also think that ever since Xavi came in, Fati has been barely getting minutes, I mean how do you expect someone to improve when you barely play them.

I really hope he at least reaches 50% of the level he had pre injury especially early 20-21 form so he can have a dignified career at least. But we all know that his time here in Barcelona is over.

He is cooked long time ago.

Next year there is no club wanting him on loan, maybe some Arabs, thats all.

What went wrong for him? He started the season on lava but seems the explosion has cooled and soldified

Injuries obviously. Later on his lifestyle probably. He's best friends with Balde and that one also peaked at 17 like Fati so make of that as you will.

Nothing other than instability at the club, coaching & tactical changes where player was no longer in plans of new coach from October - then player suffered injury in training in December (out for month)

Unfortunate but not on player

Now that Endrick & Nwaneri look like prime R9 in that league, maybe Fati's stint at beginning of the season is not all that impressive

But if those idiots didn't sack Hutter and hire that idiot, I reckon he would do better overall
