Camp Nou

I suppose there is a chance that third tier and VIP areas could be finished until summer. However, roof is still far away. It will take more than 4 years to finish the entire stadium and that's just waaaaay to much time.

Yeah, I know. The return is temporary until early 2026/27 if everything goes according to plan.

I can't find the info currently, but in Champions League we are obliged by UEFA rules to play at Montjuic until February, right?
No I believe they have made an exception. Not that many games either way.

Club officials set the final completion date for December 2027. Even if third tier and VIP are finished by summer of 2026, I expect the roof to take another year and Camp Nou closed due to safety measures during the period.

I think the exception was in case Camp Nou got the local license to host by late August before the group stages. Obviously the club missed the deadline. I found this:

A stadium under renovation or incomplete construction cannot be approved unless the licensor confirms in writing that all safety standards and spectator areas are fully operational.
Camp Nou needs inspection by UEFA for category 4 stadium first of all. Then the club has to take into account which stadium is more profitable - loaning Montjuic with 45k capacity or Camp Nou with 27k. And that rule I read somewhere this summer stating a club cannot switch stadiums until the group stage is over, which I can't verify.

IMO Laporta will not push for Camp Nou in CL until Phase B is given green light - 45k capacity.
