Same was said in previous seasons. Won’t jump on that train until he proves it on the bigger stage. Bundesliga is just a joke, sadly. Even Ronald McDonald league is a better watch these days.

It's lack of competition like this which makes me laugh when people claim Lewa was 'robbed' by Messi in 2021 BD. Admittedly Messi played in a bad league too, but Messi pissed on him in every single football stat, but because Lewa scored a lot of goals in an uncompetitive league (which being invisible in Europe as per usual) he deserved the BD.
The Bundesliga is an incredibly overrated league. Of course great players play there, but if I was a top player I'd never go there. It would feel so empty beating up on the league as a Bayern player.
And I really like Germany as a country outside of football. I also really think their NT is the best European NT ever (in terms of success; Spain play the best football in recent times). But their league is dominated by Bayern. And the rest get pumped in Europe a lot, too.

Yes, if you are Bayern or PSG respectively.
La Liga, PL and Serie A still have good competitiveness. Serie A for example doesn't have a team as good as Bayern, but when Napoli won it last season they knew they earned it.
Bayern are playing against clubs with far lesser ability and resources than themselves. Btw, I am not saying Bayern themselves are overrated - I think they could win the PL if they played near the top of their ability. But the league is.
I know it sounds weird to say this when Leverkusen won in 2024 and Dortmund were a goal away from winning it in 2023. But that was just down seasons for Bayern and a perfect storm for those clubs. Normal service has been resumed.

In his defense, they've lost many key players and probably need time. But after winning Bundesliga 2 years ago, the expectations are there to play a good season. They also spent a good amount of money.

Sorry, but this is why Bundesliga does not have big clubs apart from Bayern. As soon as Dortmund and Leverkusen challeged Bayern and won, they immediately sold their best players. They decimated their own teams showing their place and their low ambitions. Feeder clubs operating mainly for profit through transfers, not titles.
Not one club in that league thinks of itself as capable of challenging Bayern.

It's a real shame because clubs like Dortmund, Monchengladbach, Hamburg (gone right off the map for a few years but back now), Cologne, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Bremen are big clubs in their own right, with a lot of history in their own right. But now they just exist as punching bags for Bayern.
