And globally, Liverpool are far bigger than Bayern. It's not even a contest.

Who cares about how many domestic trophies they have won when the Bundesliga has always pretty much been a one club league?

Haha it's pretty unfair to discount Bayerns domestic dominance, which was only possible due to their own brilliance. I could understand it if you were talking about PSG who were always a so so club until the mega petro dollars came in, but Bayern have dominated German football from pretty much the get go.

Liverpool are big, for me the biggest in England, but to claim they are 'far bigger than Bayern' is ridiculous. On what are you basing that? Is it the fact they have 30 percent more fans worldwide? Well most of that comes from outside of Europe, particularly Asia. The fans that ( until EPL clubs started sweeping them up ) were labelled as ' plastic glory hunters '.

Bayern have far far more authentic fans in Munich than Liverpool have in Liverpool. Even when Liverpool were the best team in the world in the late 70's they struggled to fill their 40 thousand stadium. Now of course they don't have that problem because the ease of travel means Anfield is full of fans from London, Ireland and Scandinavia.

Liverpool have the same UCLs as Bayern, 13 LESS league titles, less domestic cups, smaller stadium, less average attendance. When it comes to revenues Bayern is far far bigger with revenues of over a billion Euros compared to Liverpool's 700m. That 700m figure, being a club record as well.

And Bayern has managed all this without completely selling it's soul to a foreign sugar daddy. Bayern is still a 50 percent fan owned club, unlike Liverpool.

Or because Munich has three times the population of Liverpool and the second biggest club in Munich is in the German third tier, while the second biggest club in Liverpool is a mainstay of the top flight and has won a European trophy.

"Far bigger" was hyperbole. But with all respect to Bayern, I believe Liverpool are now bigger.

For a start, Bayern have no other big clubs in Munich to compete with. Liverpool have Everton, who, despite a lack of any recent success, used to be a genuinely top club and have a massive fan base of their own. Regardless, if Liverpool had a stadium that held 90,000 people it would sell out every week.

Secondly, the Bundesliga is setup for Bayern to win it as often as possible. Because 9 times out of 10 they will just buy Dortmund and Leverkusen's best players the moment those clubs have any domestic success. It was so funny watching them get humbled with German Golden Boy Wirtz, who choose Liverpool over them despite being offered less money.
