Elite talent.

Switzerland win 2-0 against Iceland. Sydney Schertenleib played 90 minutes and provided an assist.

I knew i can rely on my guy 983, watched that match too, great match and only Alisha Lehmann was missing!

2nd goal was very nice to watch even though it was reflected.

Today Spain and Portugal again, Spain has humilated Portugal last match, they are probably the best team itw.

Who you fancying to win this tournament @Messi983 @FCBarca?

I will try and watch the 7 knockout games. Are Norway in with a shout? They seem a good team.

But obviously Spain are the big favourites, and after those I would expect Germany, England and France (or Netherlands if they can get through from that tough group) would be the next best teams. Not backing Sweden to win twice has also cost me in the predictor game - had no idea they're pretty strong in women's football, or appear so anyway.

Norway isn't playing very well together. I feel like it's bunch of individuals but they survived because kinda easy group. Good team will knock em out. Just don't see a team there.
There is no team, you’re right. Luckily the media over here let them hear it. Bunch of spoiled stars with their heads too far up their asses who have no chemistry together. Hurts to say as she plays for our women’s team, but especially Caro just rubs me the wrong way. Terrible attitude.

I definitely agree. Caros motivation in general has taken a dip in my eyes. I saw her play this year and her body language and all just looks bad compared to before. The work ethic isn't at the same level. Is it the price of success? Maybe part of it or boredom, maybe Spanish league is too easy or Cup game. Could be. Either way, I don't like her vibes or energy. Few years ago she was so hard working, so the difference is quite big.

Still on holidays and so I haven’t been following the Euros closely, only highlights. But in principle pretty clear Spain are the favorites led by Barça’s Femeni. England, France & Norway are other strong teams but Spain are a level above them all

Yeah as someone who doesn't follow women's football but casually takes an interest when the international tournaments come around, that appears to be the case.

Spain should win but the other teams you mention have a shout if Spain underperform or give them encouragement for whatever reason. I know that Bonmati contracted meningitis (viral) so I hope she will be fully recovered for the knockout phase. Spain need her excellence.

Aitana’s meningitis was quite a scare, glad she recovered - when she’s healthy, they will really steamroll the opposition…But Putellas’ renaissance is something to behold after her injury, a real shout for BdO

Caro is 30 now and doesn’t have the same setup with Norway she benefits from at Femeni but still the best winger in football for me

So much football that its normal its hard to follow women’s game @Maradona37 but my oh my I do love how entertaining Femeni are. Women’s football has been great for a long time IMHO but now a different level and I hope they will be back at Camp Nou to entertain soon

Aitana is already back, played entire 2nd half against Belgium. Vicky filled in pretty well in her absence anyway.

Spain have the best and deepest team in all positions but think they could struggle against more physical teams like England and France, probably Germany too.

Yeah knew she had played one of the games, but really just meant if she was at full fitness and strength or not. Probably easing back into the team.

So Spain lack physicality then (relatively speaking)? That might be a problem indeed.

Thanks for the info. I heard Fin and Thwix saying above that Caro has attitude problems. As Norwegians and bigger women football followers they would know more than me.

Putellas is another name I know and yeah, she seems to have been rated one of the best women's players for a long time.

Yeah, women's football has really improved. I noticed it when I watched 2019 World Cup. There were good teams there. It cannot compete with men's football obviously but that's just down to biology. There's still very good players in the women's game. I haven't actually ever watched Femeni in a proper game but I will try to catch a few in the coming season. Never really watched women's club football, as I say always international.
