Yea, he wanted to come so badly he could barely wait for July to sign an extension with Bilbao.

Bro, he must of been DYING to sign for us.
lol

But yeah. He wanted guarantees we could register him, we didn't want to give him any, Bilbao fans started to hate on him and he maybe felt that IF the Barca deal falls through he will be "persona non grata" in Bilbao - chickened out when presented with a fucking 10 year 12M net "sign this this week or the deal is off" and thought maybe the fans wouldn't hate on him much if he signed asap after chickening out on the Barca challenge.

The barca deal fell through because he chose so.

Chill, he isn't on 20 net  He's on 11ish, but still...
I am

the truth is we don’t know, but it wouldn’t be the first time for Barca, that’s our MO

we offer modest salaries and prestige but certain players always choose money, that’s how we ended up with the world’s highest wage bill in the past

so allow me to remain sceptical

All his career this guy has been called a fucking pussios

Laporta told him to wait cause he will get 100% registered in the end but his agent told him to bail

Guy looked at who is second in place to sign him and as soon as he saw Bayern , he went into a panic attack and signed for 10 years to Bilbao

Cruyff was always right with his quotes

,, Any nigga who has doubts about signing for Barcelona , doesn't deserve to be here , and is a bitch ass nigga "

Goats are always right.

In my opinion, the Barca deal fell through because Barca chose to; the news coming out says Tebas shared confidential info about Barca to the Athletic president during a private meeting, which confirmed Barca didn't have enough funds to register players.

Nico's agent, after seeing this, demanded a clause guaranteeing his departure if he wasn't registered, but Barca refused outright (If you're a neutral person, then what Nico's agent did is needed, and if Barca are so sure in registering him, they should've agreed to the clause, they agreed to a similar clause with Olmo.

As a player, you have to look out for yourself; it's dumb not to (everyone looks out for their interests)

When you look at it from Nico's prospective just to play devil's advocate.

He was probably thinking, I made the first move, all the fans are giving me hate, I'm taking less money than I could get elsewhere, which is now confirmed as a fact.

All I'm asking you to do, is give me a guarantee I'll be registered by the end of July.

If one is being rational I can understand his point of view.

But I also understand the club saying, fuck no, we are Barca is your privilege to play here, not the other way around, take the deal and let us worry about the rest.

I feel it's more on Barca, cause they should've understood (they agreed similar thing to Gundogan and Olmo just recently), and said fuck no to Nico.

So I understand Nico's view (man would've been like, but you agreed a similar deal just recently to Olmo and Gundogan, why say "no" to me), especially with the less money he was taking than he could get elsewhere.

It's also possible Barca went that route, since it's reported that Nico was the one who started pushing for the transfer.
