Let's just overhaul the squad. Apparently no one is good enough for barca forum. Let xavi cook.

btw, there are rumours that his renewals will be costly at the end of it. It will reach 12M per season in his last year of new contract, when he will be 21/22

Can't be true surely. That would be double what Araujo earns, and our highest paid defender infact.

You're welcome
We need to put trust in him. His passing speaks for itself. Footballing IQ and calm and collective. Will likely work hard to improve.

Makes no sense whatsoever. He's an absolute rookie that didn't do anything yet. 12M per season is a salary for a top class accomplished CB. He should get that, eventually, at 24-25, if he confirms and becomes top class.

At 17 his next contract until 21-22 should be 3-4m per year before tax at a maximum.

We learned nothing from the Fati case if this is true. We could have still keep him around as a squad player even with his injuries if Laporta wouldn't give him that crazy contract with wage increase every year.

I assume we'll do the same with Yamal's renewal too.

Makes absolutely no sense increasing wages something like 20% every season when we'll probably have to negotiate a new contract in 3 years anyway. Unless we'd have a club option to renew for 2-3 further years (could link that automatic renewal option to number of games played) so would basically tie him to the club until he's 24-25 but that's unlikely.

Not so sure about this. See what contract they gave to Ansu. So pretty sure they'll do the same with Yamal and Cubarsi.
I think they learnt their lesson with fati, if memory serves me right, Araujo wanted a contrast similar to fati's and they said no, gavi didn't get that kind of deal either.

Fati situation was unique because we had just lost Messi and the club thought they had in heir in hand, so they went a bit crazy giving him the #10 and a big contract.

Think they've since learnt injuries or multiple other factors can affect a young players development.

I think he and yamal, will probably end up with a gavi contract, who if we look beyond the hype was better/more impactful than both for the first team when he came through.

Hope you're right but I don't trust Laporta at all. He just lost touch with reality and good agents will use that in their favor. Especially Mendes with Yamal. No idea who Cubarsi's agent is though.

We'll have to see how good of a negotiator Deco is now that Alemany is gone. I think he has a good eye for talent so I'll still believe his opinion on Roque over Xavi's for example until proven wrong. But as a negotiator we'll have to see. This summer will be first big test for him.
