The closure for me was PSG second leg with Xavi being sent off. I didn't watch the rest of the game.

Today reading about change of heart, I'd say ok, but Xavi won't last till November with the same sideline attitude of bans every 4-5 games in another what seems like "lost season" ahead in 2024/25 till we build a functional Camp Nou. Then Rafa Marquez as caretaker and so on.

You want him to leave?

No. I want the board to support him more though and for Laporta to understand that this Barcelona is not comparable to any of the teams from his previous tenure.

The team got a bit weaker last summer. They failed to replace Busquets in particular. We need 2-3 top signings, and the fact that we can't get top players for our vulnerable positions is not on anyone else but the disaster caused by the previous board.

Felix and Cancelo are bums for the level we aspire to reach. They are added liabilities, not reinforcements. Hence why their teams are trying to get rid of them.

The solution is for Xavi to stay and work in a long term project. Only thing that should interfere with that is signing an elite manager like Klopp.

No doubt he loves this club more than any of us, and is emotionally attached more than we could imagine.

But you quit once and come back, then what message does that give everyone.

He is not going to renew his contract is he. So what happens when a few results go against his way again? Or we start the season poorly. Does he say he quits again?

It's a bad precedent going into the new season.

I'll understand huge pressure once the money come back personally. Then even signings are gonna be tied to him, that's quite normal.

If he asks for Zubimendi, he is signed for big money, and he doesn't deliver... he has no excuse for this type of scenario.

Until then... let him work. He has done great so far. And don't underestimate the impact of playing your home games away from Camp Nou.

Looked a goal, so you need goal line tech to not give it. If the ball caught the line, it must be by the thiniest of margins. If you judge by the images that were available, the ball looks fully in. I would be surprised to see it's even clearer from a good angle.

This is a case where the league looks ridiculous. Goal line tech exists to stop goals that look certain in normal angles but the ball caught the line by a few cms.

Of course the refs saw nothing. Just as they didn't see Rudiger's bodycheck on Fermin.

If he stays, Roque might as well start packing his bags...

While realizing we can't and won't do miracles (with the likes of Klopp, Nagelsmann or even Flick), I really wish we just went after Thiago Motta then. Ticks all the 'was Barca knows the club' boxes and unlike Xavi (who is not only inexperienced, but way too emotionally unstable at this point) and Marquez, has actual European experience in the right order, at a midtable club, which will now become a top 4 CL club (Bologna). Fantastic job he's doing with them this year. Leading 2-0 at Roma and basically guaranteeing 4th place as we speak.

At least no locker took tension

🔵🔴 Ronald Araújo: “It’s all clarified with Ilkay Gündogan, I confronted him about the interview and he apologised. It’s all good”.

Me and JamDav predicted it from the start. He never wanted to leave.

Even more so, he will want to stay due to lack of options elsewhere, as I doubt many top clubs or any on Barca's level will try to hire him (unless maybe a United or something and that would be a disaster).

Laporta can't leave soon enough

I have written it, I will write it again: Laporta's stint will prove to be worse than Bartomeus by next elections in 2026

That's the problem, he seems unstable and like he isn't mentally coping with the pressure of the job, and needing to seek affirmation by making impulsive decisions to leave the club and then reversing them.

He needs to be more serious and more collected as a person and it will do him better as a manager as well.

Also, on the topic of refereeing towards us you can't really imagine that the refs listen to him much anymore or particularly like him, given that he has called basically every single ref in the league corrupt by this point... hard to think that might not subconsciously have an effect on how they treat him wrt sending him off or even on decisions.

Xavi just LOVES lying. He even fooled me on this one with his fake resignation. Didn't realize Fatporta loves being a gimp too, staring me in face whole time looks exactly like one. Someone should photoshop him strapped in leather ties, mouth stuffed, with Xavi whipping him, a gay gimp no less. This is just too sick too fathom.

I've been wishing for us to lose so this cancer gets removed from Barca, but alas it's still not enough. How low do we have to go.

I feel sick.

Both Laporta and Xavi have NO SHAME with this decision.
It's not a charity here.
That level of football Xavi showcased is unacceptable for a club like Barca.

Don't worry Laporta, voters will NOT forget in two years from now

The idea of Xavi leaving was more a temper tantrum than ever a serious announcement and it's been obvious by the way he has spoken at press conferences.

He hasnt spoken like a manager who is planning to leave and it just looks like he wanted to feel more appreciated and rated rather than seriously wanting to give up.
