9 - Robert Lewandowski

I haven't seen him consistently throughout his career, when he was at his peak.
Is this thing we are seeing his technical level?
He has some nine one touch plays in him, which rarely work, but are still nice. But once a control is required, he just can't do it. He needs acres of space to perform. Also, his hold up play with his back to the defender, is missing.

Imagine getting rid of your 35 year old players only for your team to get worse so you get another 35 year old striker and have to rely on him.

The talent these days really is trash.

10 years ago this team would be lucky to end up in the top half of the table let alone even sniff CL knockouts.

Unless you are trying to mock him, lemme tell you he has one of the best first touches ever. He used to pull off those touches under severe pressure from 6ft plus strong CBs.

Remove all the bias you have against him and check out these first touches. His technique has always been sensational.

he is nowhere near this level now. his controls were close and controlled. now he needs 3 touches and let's the ball too far.
Age is a bitch.

Well, maybe....... You asked for his level throughout his career. I gave you an idea of it. That is pretty much it.

He's definitely washed up now but you'll get to see fancy touches and flicks here and there.

As forwards age, they either turn into more of a poacher or more of a passer. That's what the decline in mobility, strength and agility does to you.
