The day Italia's most read broadsheet carries a headline calling my club a "benefit cheat" - as happened the day after you presented Cristiano, is the day I will be worried. Because thats when you know you have transcended football and become a figure of national hate as Real Madrid have become.

Real Madrid is the most supported club in Spain and one of the most supported clubs in the world ... sadly for you .
the difference between transparency in Italia and Spain is not much but the difference is Perez cannot do what he wants without the socio's accepting or refusing the club budget and finances , Silvio can cause it's his own .
Yes there is Silvio style corruption in some clubs like Betis ,Atletico and Seville but they are all (like Milan ) individually owned , even in Cristiano deal we announced taking a loan from the bank.. you don't even know where the money go in or out .

Hamburg would be a laughing stock in the BL if they agree to this. I mean who would play if RvN leaves? Guerrero is more suspended than on the pitch and Petric is more injured than on the pitch. And as it seems the fans are already at the throat of Hoffmann and Veh and it would really go well with the fans if they bend over for Madrid and the player further undermining their ambition.

He is out of contract in the summer and was thinking of joining a club in the UAE in winter .. so it's not like they planned on let him stay on the other hand the situation is complicated due to the double injury of Guerrero and Petric and the Asian attacker is participating in the Asian cup nowadays

We let him go cause he wanted to go to play more and have a shot in the WC.. he knows that and that's why he always said great things about the club and the fans when he left to Hamburg and why he is keen to return when we asked him .
Add to that Pellegrini always preferred two fast forwards without a number 9 (ala Nilmar / Rossi ) .. Jose prefer Ruud type (Milito /Drogba )
due to Ruud wishes and his service to the club we gave him his freedom letter to join Hamburg without any extra burden so yeah we expect from them the same gentleman treatment , why not ?

Though purely on the field is not really my point. Its bigger than that. Like after all this money spent to recapture the glory days - they failed. Feels like it was last chance at the roulette table, they put all they had on red and it came black. Now what? No money left to rebuild yet again, and now it feels alot like across Spain they are resented by ordinary Spanish people - the people they claim to stand for. Basically as an institution Real Madrid is devoid of any purpose.

But with Jansen they have a replacement for Elia but like you pointed out they have nobody to replace RvN. The change would serve very well the interest of him and Madrid but what be in for Hamburg?
