We already know why Laporta didn’t want Messi here. He couldn’t handle someone at the club having more influence and power than himself. The lying narcissistic fat fuck is obsessed with himself and his own voice. It’s been clear since day one. Shame Leo doesn’t involve himself in these things. He could end Laporta’s career with a single word on Instagram. That’s true power.

Font is not debating well at all.

Every time Laporta tries to say 'I saved the club'.... 'We got 1 bln revenue' Font should be throwing this back as Laporta being self obsessed and ignoring the decades of years history that likes of Messi and Xavi created to put the brand where it is for these deals and refinancing.

Point to players like Pedri, Yamal, Frenkie, Gavi, Cubarsi, Balde, Bernal etc all there before him and contributing to the upturn.

Should be doubling down calling him the puppet of Echeverria etc... as sure as fuck would get that the other way.

A club legend like Xavi should never be an instrument in hand of one or another candidate. Unfortunately his IQ is lower than I thought. Same goes for Messi. Why the hell would you allow yourself to be in a center of the campaign of any presidential candidate? A plain stupidity from both of them.

Additionally, what the hell does Victor Font even offer? All he does is bring up the names of club legends and plaster them on building walls and in newspapers. I really hope some new name will come out for 2030 elections because this is pathetic.

I encourage you to read about Cruyff and Nunez. That was an on and off circus of club politics for 8 years of him coaching here and it continued after he was sacked.

Jamdav said it right, Laporta picked the date of elections and then complains about timing of criticism and hides behind Flick.

Not that I am much supportive of Xavi as see him a delusional type.

Unfortunately these 2 are the candidates that we have and it is a poor choice.

If someone asked me what the amigos mentality was, I'd point to Xavi's latest interview and say "Read"
Exactly

He points out so many times that Laporta and Echeverria were his "close friends" and how they "bertrayed" him

As if it fucking matters

If you don't do well in results or the way we play football. If you don't fully trust in your players and believe in yourself and in them that you can build a great team. If you are Xavi Hernandez, one of biggest legends in this club, or some absolute nobody... it's time to go. And no argument. This is the correct approach

Also when Roberto "his friend" came to him and asked him "do you really want me out?". That speaks a lot of team atmosphere at the time. They felt entitled to their places in the team because they are friends with the manager and he gladly accepted it

And Jordi Cruyff is Johan's son so he should be the living personification and an example of this club?

A LOT of things in this interview don't really go in Xavi's favour at all. I don't know if he is fully aware of that. He tried shitting on Laporta and to a degree managed to do it but he also buried himself here with many statements.

They don't. It's a revenge interview to hurt Laporta's campaign before the elections on Sunday. Victor Font is behind all of this and it's sad people like Xavi play along for this bum. Started the gossip column, now will face the consequences.

Nah Xavi cant stand Laporta and he is speaking out as his time at club was going to be on agenda for these debates.

This is not some simple Xavi controlled by Font.

Xavi isnt helping himself with way spoke and the pity party.

In the interview from last night, Xavi claimed that he repeatedly asked the board to SELL one player due to dressing room and power conflicts.

He did not want to reveal the name, but did confirm that it was none of these players: Pedri, Raphinha, Sergi Roberto and Araujo.

Either Yamal or Lewa
