Xavi has most likely come out to cover his word on some of the things that will be discussed during the debates.. Messi, lies, Echeverria.

But he has made it a 'poor me' session when the decision to get rid of him has been proven correct and Barca wasted money on backing him and his team at the wrong time.

Sacking Xavi and not signing Messi wont have much impact due to how Flick has done and likes of Yamal being in the team.

Laportas argument of people trying to attack club at important part of season is weak.

He chose this time for the elections for his own gain when most likely would have won regardless.

If any of this impacts the team it is on him.

But dont think players and staff get impacted by this in way either side make out anyway.

I don't think players care about this charade. With Font as opponent Laporta will probably win this easily. We can only hope that in 2030 some new faces will emerge and that Font will be long forgotten.

We all love Leo but no player is above the club. Messi would have been great to have back but let's be honest no one knew back then how much he still had left in the tank so signing a player with his wage demands would have been too risky with our financial situtation.

Maybe Laporta promised something to someone he should not have promised but in hindsight he still made the right decision to move on and start building the future team. At least now we can remember how Messi was always great playing for us and not someone who overstayed his welcome and ended up looking too slow and injury ridden in his last years of pro football.

As long as they leave current players out of this they can yap all they want about the past. Flick probably expected his name to be thrown out during these days.

So it's not something that should remove focus from our task tomorrow, possibly why they decided to go to Newcastle earlier as a group.

The Xavi interview has some timing that doesn't add up. He talked with Messi for 5 months, after the 2022 World Cup? I mean that's January when Xavi told the club he's leaving.

Also his sacking has some drama in it, sushis and backstage dealings... could be true, but Xavi sacked Xavi for waving the white flag before the season had begun. "We can't compete with Real Madrid next season without big transfers.".

Laporta out

In 2023, Xavi and Barcelona spent months negotiating a return for Leo Messi, who was set to join the club as a free agent.

- The move was close to being completed, but the deal collapsed at the last moment.

- At the time, both President Laporta and Xavi said Messi himself decided not to return, choosing a calmer, family-oriented life in Miami with less pressure.

- Xavi now tells a different story. He claims Laporta sabotaged the deal at the very last moment.

- Xavi says Laporta told Messi’s entourage that the club could not afford him, only to later admit he did not want Messi back because he would “go to war” against him.

- Xavi also says he was mistreated and lied to, and claims that many real decisions at the club are taken by Alejandro Echevarría.

🚨 Victor Font: "Barça doesn't belong to a president, it belongs to 150,000 socios. When Messi cried, we all cried."

"Breaking ties with Messi and joining hands with Florentino make the culers want a change."

The accusations Xavi is making against Laporta actually work in Laporta’s favor. Laporta would’ve been a complete idiot if he had brought 36y old Messi back in 2023. Instead of building a new team he would have taken the club a few years backwards with this transfer. So in the end, once again, Xavi just made himself look unbelievably stupid.

That's not the accusation brother.

To his credit, he did say that the decision to change him with Flick was correct.

He exposed fatty's lies and hypocrisy to the fans
Some are still too blind to see and too brainwashed by his propaganda, but one day it will become clear to everyone
