9 - Robert Lewandowski

Not impressed so far with how big of a difference Kane made with them in the bigger games. But it can change since Kane is still going strong. So in the end it may well be worth it, but not yet.

Nah massively worth it to get rid of Lewa at that age and get Kane in for 50m more.

Winning CL doesnt make signings good, bad or average.

It is the biggest factor.

Not for value of a signing.

Joan Garcia is top value.. it doesnt take Barca winning more than season before he was at Barca to prove it.

Real can make top value signings and not win CL or win less than previous years etc.

Teams can win CL and make poor signings also.

Not immediately, but in the end this is the ultimate goal. To hope Garcia will make more difference than Tek did in matches like vs Inter last year.

No immeditately Joan Garcia is top signing and top value doesnt need to win CL this season to prove it.

As Kane in place of ageing Lewa has been for Bayern.

It's a bit like our situation. Spending top money for a striker with the problems we have in defense may not be worth it. Based on the premise that those money would have been better used to improve the defense.

Big teams often have this issue. They overload in offense and neglect the defense.

Nonsense.

They needed a CF and upgraded from declining Lewa to Kane probably the best all round CF in world since moved there.

Would have been absolutely moronic for them to pay Lewa wages Barca paying him and spend the rest on defence.

Nothing remotely like Barca situation and they in no way neglected defence to sign Kane.

Clean made up.

Its like claiming should have ignored Olise to sign a CB.. not even relevant.

If anything the deal helped them improve other areas of team.

Not if they land top players in defense. Kane was a sure route, but is he good enough to score multiple goals in end stretch of CL to really make a difference? So far no. They struggled vs Celtic and got beat by Inter due to blunders in defense much like us.

Again.. you are making no sense.

They didnt neglect defence to sign Kane and that summer the move gave them a +30m on the books.

Putting them in BETTER position to improve defence than had they kept Lewa on that season.

As said.. Joan Garcia is top value and is the case long before Barca win a CL with him.

Olise is top value for Bayern regardless if win CL or not.

Many more.

By your logic likes of Raphinha last season was nothing great as didnt win the CL due to defensive blunders and would have been better punting him for defenders.

Doesnt work like that.

I'm afraid Laporta going to extend his contract, dude... Flick doesn't even play him anymore, he plays useless canned Tuna before he plays Lewa. What the fuck is going on???

Nah wasnt great deal for Barca

Seeing it now this summer as a reason why.
Lewandowski was the first world class player we signed after Messi left. The team needed experience and proven quality not just on pitch but also off it. Now it has been confirmed a thousand times that his arrival and presence did indeed have an impact on how the academy kids developed and made them more disciplined, professional

He was absolutely crucial for both league titles we won during his time here. Even this season scored some key goals in games where we struggled (hat trick on Balaidos, Oviedo away, Sociedad at home, goal vs RM in supercup and a couple more)

You can say whatever you want his transfer will never be considered nowhere near failure anywhere outside of this club and he'll go down as a legend especially if wins CL this season. Already has over 100 goals for the club and can even enter top 10 all time scorers for Barça by the end of this season
