13 - Joan García

Horatio

You're welcome

Just saw this. That ball literally jumped right before he received it

Not an excuse but at least makes his mistake understandable

Would be zero surprise if this was an intentional sabotage by those madrid pussies

This happens more frequent than one thinks. Only doesn’t usually result in these errors. Ball trajectory many times in players career gets altered by nature of pitch. Joan should have done better here.

When attacking players sky a ball in front of goal that had a slight bounce nobody cares and they still get reviled.

Basta yaaaaaaa, Cabron ! y Bona nit 🥂
Barca rely on him to do a lot of risky ' non goalkeeper ' duties. He's required to come out a long way to compensate for the high line and also use his feet to retain possession a lot more than other goalkeepers are required to.

Bit like Prime Neuer had to. And guess what Prime Neuer also made many similar mistakes like Joan's mistake today.

The only surprise is that it took him this long to make a mistake.

Nothing changes. Will be the best Barca goalkeeper ever and I hope he is the number 1 here for the next 10 years.

Hi best trait is rushing out and being a shot magnet. All else puts him at same level of Unai Simon/Alex Remiro. Shouts of future best in the world or best Spanish GK ever are naive. I don't see in him this aura that young Buffon, Neuer or Casillas had.

As I've said - De Gea career at best.

Prime DDG was one of the best shot stoppers in history with absolutely superhuman reflexes.

He had numerous other flaws but as a pure shot stopper he was GOAT tier.

I know. Was thinking as an overall career. But come to think of it, Garcia might not even reach the heights DDG hit in his prime.

Buffon, Neuer are GOAT tier goalkeeper so unlikely. But Garcia can be best Barca's GK

Don't blame him. Looked bad but the exact same error happened to Balde later in the game. Couldn't stop a simple pass and the ball went out for a throw-in. Pitch was just shit.
