He only accumulated 1400 minutes this season so far, being injured in 12 games. His lives off his horse lung, because neither his technique, nor his finish is really worldclass, like his legs. The problem is, this kind of playstyle takes a toll on the body, especially if you're very close to 30 already.
His contract is running out in 2 years and the club must watch out not to get in another situation where you give an aging player a huge contract and won't get rid of him later, because plainly said the risk is there for Rapha to decline physically going forward and then he won't be as irreplacable as he is today. I just hope the club won't do the same mistake with him as with the amigos.
With all his upsides right now and currently irreplacable for Flick, this can change fast for said reasons. The club needs to watch his situation and learn from past mistakes. I don't say it will certainly happen, he can also stay fit until 33-34. Just that there is a risk and to watch out how his body responds going forward.
