Someone here already said it. He was good while there was no pressure and little expectations.
He crumbled once he became someone and crumbled under expectations.

Would probably do very well in mid table teams.

His problem is he can't pass the ball and is dumb like a brick. So, quality issue. You guys are going over the board with mentality stuff. If he was smarter and better on the ball he would be crazy good and probably make a reliable long term CB for us

Even yesterday when he was decent.. is on the verge of a fuck up.

With his passing even if he was more reliable it would still be hard to over come.

Teams target likes of him on ball to make it more difficult for players that can pass it.

What's with Uruguayans and retarded or crazy footballers.

Guys like Forlan, Godin and Cavani are anamolies.

I'm not sure why people have to be so cynical all the time. There is a chance, of course, that he is making up his mental problems as an excuse for his many faux pas'. However, there is also a very real chance that he is going through some very serious shit that he doesn't want to share with the rest of the world.

And the way the PLAYERS are treating him and reacting to him scoring, seems to me there is more of a chance of it being the latter.

The point here is that there seems to be some vindictiveness towards the man. Does his many fuck ups warrant such ill intent, despite the fact that he always gave 100 percent on the pitch and clearly loves the club?? Not for me.

I reserve my ire for those that fucked the club over :dembele:,

not for those that tried their best and failed. :araujo:

Football fans are usually extreme with their opinions on football, especially regarding their favourite club. I know I`m guilty of that during the games, when half the time I want to slap Cubarsi or Balde, when I see their shitshow on the pitch. But when the head cools down, we need to realize that football players are human, too. We have a very good example in our own club - Bojan. He was tipped as the future superstar and in the end mostly flopped, because he simply couldn`t handle the pressure. So yeah, we don`t know what the fuck is going on with these guys most of the time, only what we are served through the media.

That being said, Araujo is paid a lot of money to do his job and in the end, if he won`t be able to deliver - it`s time to say goodbye. I would love for him to step up now, but we`ll see.

For me it's a big difference between players who aren't good enough or have some kind of problems but never did anything bad against the club, so a guy like Araujo. On the other hand I have no simpaty for pieces of shit like Figo or MATS who wanted to harm our beloved club. It's sad someone like Araujo gets more shit from cules than those. He is/was always a true cule, respected everybody at the club, acted professinally all the time but he simply isn't good enough, how can you resent that? I think he doesn't have a future at Barca anymore but he doesn't deserve this disrespect.

He simply doesn't have the quality a CB, especially at Barca should have... His passing is whack, his decision making is whack and he's hothead on the verge of a fuckup like all the time - he's proven that time and time again and these are things he can't "learn" at his age, you either have "it" or not.

History will be kind to him. Especially if he leaves Barça and does well in some other club now, which I firmly believe he can do. Will be remembered as beast CB who gave everything for the club and just wasn't good enough on the ball for Barcelona. And you could argue it doesn't deviate from the truth too much, even though it does a little

Which top team do you think he would start for?

Almost every good team puts emphasis on CBs being good on the ball. Araujo is ticking time bomb on the ball and makes dumb mistakes too often.
