Any news regarding his contract ?

Chances are he leaves after this season ?

If that's the case , hopefully he'll leave as a La Liga champion , at least. We paid him lots of money but other than that , would be a really good transfer in the end , all things considered.

He said himself few weeks ago that nothing has been decided.

For all the positivity and confidence Flick emits there is chaos, uncertainty and incompetence within Barca. So I bet noone knows yet what will happen.

It'll depend on the hot phase of the season I assume. If he manages to secure important wins with his goals, I can imagine the club will offer him one more year for a lower wage. Otherwise, he'll leave in summer. The performance in the big games in March / April are key.

Either way it will be best if he leaves at the end of the season so that we can have a new stricker.

FC Barcelona are open to letting Robert Lewandowski continue at the club, but on two conditions. He should accept a new role with less prominence, and he should lower his salary by half. [@DBR8]

I'm not his biggest fan but I don't think we'll buy a top striker either way and if he accepts these two conditions it's ok for another season. Better than having only Ferran without any backup. I'm just afraid that in reality they won't cut his salary in half but something like 10% less than he's getting now, that would be the Barca way.
