Man, half of Bundesliga could have lined up with 20-30% of the loan for his services.

It's great from sporting perspective, but bad deal financially.

Basically what Loki has said

Yeah because Messi is the GOAT. He is synonymous with Barca. Of course any president would try to keep him at the club if possible. Maybe he knew the reality way before. Regardless, Messi wasn’t affordable. We had to move on.

Option 1: sign away our soul to the devil.
Option 2: move on.

Which option would you have chosen?

I really hope he won't fuck us over in the summer, that he agrees to leave if a decent club is in for him - but I won't hold my breath.

Here we have a saying: "hope is a whore".

We are already being fucked over and we have cards in our hands.

If he does well at Girona he'll probably be loaned out to them until his contract runs out in 2028.

We'll of course pay almost his entire salary.

Club had some leverage with the World Cup and Nagelsmann making it clear he won't start for them unless he plays to find some sort of an agreement and save some money, but Deco is too incompetent to use it.

They pamper Araujo who betrayed the team, new contract for Christensen, free loans, losing starters, now prospects.

Bunch of incompetent pussies.

The only positive I can think of is that hopefully we'll face him when we play Girona.

That 90% of his salary will be covered by Barcelona bit hurts though. Makes everyone involved in the club look like a clown. Except Flick. Flick became manager, and we got rid of Stegen quickly.

I mean, what can you do when no one wants him? There is no shot any team who can even afford half his wages is interested in a 34 year old GK with dodgy knees. Only small clubs like Girona would be and they can't afford his wages. It is what it is. Look at the bright side. We have a new captain.

And we never learn... Just like you said - lost Inigo, Cripplesen new contract lol, Dro for 6M, letting Ara go to fucking Israel on a holiday and now we pay 90% of Stegen? That's some incredibly bad decisions.
