Someone already said it: it's incredible Barca scores this much with veteran striker and Ferran up-front. Lamine is not prolific scorer either.

It's his system that makes it happen.

🚨 Hansi Flick is very disappointed with Dro Fernández’ decision, to the point that he has told his entourage that he has suffered "the biggest disappointment" of his life. [@sport] 🇩🇪

🗣️ @laiatudel: “We’re told that Dro’s conversation with Hansi Flick really surprised the coach, and that he took it BADLY. Flick had said he was counting heavily on the player. He had great confidence in him, and the club saw him as someone destined for a bright future.”

It will take some time for fans to trully appreciate Flick. What he's achieving with this squad is amazing.

On another note, it makes me think of just how good the squads were in Pep and Lucho years

VV - above average

MATS - mediocre/below average

Abidal - Amazing, one of the top LB's during those times

Alba - world class

Pique/Puyol/Mascherano - Amazing, historical Barca CB's during their prime

Dani Alves - could make an argument that was the best RB in Europe at that time

Busi/Xavi/Iniesta - no comments needed, best midfield trio to exist

Rakitic - workhorse that freed up so much space for MSN and Iniesta. Much better than FDJ during his peak

MSN - no comment, GOAT level attacking trio

Eto'o/Henry - no comments needed, GOAT level during their peak.

Pedro - Deadly finisher and always worked hard.

Villa - Spanish legend

That's just off the top of my head. Not to mention some great starters/sub options like Fabregas, Keita, Adriano, Maxwell, Thiago, Claudio Bravo, Mathieu, Sergi Roberto.
Think about how Papa Martino fucked it up with that squad and two presidents ruined everything..

We dodged a huge bullet with Laporta, Alemany, Xavi, Flick and this generation.. But with Xavi we reached kind of maximum at that time, from there we we're falling again.. Flick was the right man, nobody would've done it like he's doing it. I hope he'll stay as much as possible and the next coach and administration to be the right ones. I think Flick said one time that he'll retire after Barcelona and if everything is alright he wants to stay like 5 years or something..

Needs an UCL and financial stability as soon as possible to things run smooth and I think he'll stay, he seems to be happy in Barcelona.

His personality and football are perfect for this club.
What he needs is funds.
My biggest worry is Deco and Laporta taking him for granted and giving him nothing or very limited funds. Everyone knows this squad has gaping holes. The entire defence for example 😆.
Bare minimum we need a cb, full back and striker. I'd like a DM also but that's for another day.
