You need to have your concentration level at ABSOLUTE ZERO to let that happen to you in a pro game of football

Very careless which I think is probably the most damning aspect of the player’s game. I continue to see a 22 yr old whose development has stalled - likely down to lack of competition. Prime for a LB, even early, is still 24-27 yrs of age - so before everyone unravels, that bears remembering

Been saying, we need a LB to push the player along with a bonafide RB

2nd half he actually did a good job defending. Especially shielding his side from the long balls.

I really don't know what to say. I'm losing faith in this guy slowly. He has to develop fast and he is not showing any good signs. Could end up in some midtable club if he goes on like this

Attacking output literally non existent. Defensively leaves much to be desired too

Cancelo will take his spot. He's gonna be on the bench at this rate. He's not nearly good enough defensively to consider that his strong weapon, and Cancelo is far better in offense.

Played a lot lately so will be rested soon. Not sure he wants that though because Cancelo will probably prove to be more useful for us.

It will depend on the opponent though, against opponents like Racing we need at least one attacking full back. Cancelo's costly flaws show in the biggest games where we cannot easily outscore the opponent.

But cancelo, for man city, as a left back, played more as a midfielder, not that running back we would see on the right side.
He has a right foot so it is more difficult for him to run and cross from the left. Don’t think cancelo will play left in bigger games

Cancelo did great in attack as a LB for us before, possibly even better than at RB.

Honestly feels like playing with 10 at times.

You know what drives me crazy? How he's supposed to really quick, but constantly loses out foot races defensively.

And in attack he's just useless.

I'm not sure if it's a development problem or if he's just very limited as a footballer. His dribbling/ball carrying ability is quite bad from what I expected and the less said about his crossing the better.

I was really impressed with Nathaniel Brown when we played Frankfurt because he was everything I thought Balde would become.

He still lacks too much in the final third.

Looked pissed off to be subbed yesterday but Cancelo did more within 5 minutes going forward than Balde had done all game.

The flip side of that is Sociedad instantly targeted Cancelo defensively and got some joy from it.
