Copa 1/8 Final: Santander - Barca

My country is fucking obsessed with Madrid and Barca. They televise nearly every game and half the time the talk shows about european football are basically Madrid and Barca based with a bit of EPL at the end and some Serie A. It's uncanny.

One time they didn't televise Copa del Rey and panicked a bit when Barca played Madrid in 2019. In 4 days they set it up.

Phew, couldn't find who shows the match - it turns out Disney+ have the rights in Scandinavia yay!!!
I had to stream the match the other day in Arabia, nobody showed it :(
But I bought the channel that sends LL, but we have no studio or commentary - Sweden is all about EPL and I can't remember last time I saw a whole EPL game... I only watch English clubs in CL or maybe EL. Sometimes I tune in to watch Serie A though, much prefer it to EPL.

Same here in Bulgaria.

About 10 channels that cover every game of Barca, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd & City, Inter, AC Milan and Juventus.

The last time I had to watch Barca game on stream was some CL, I think with Dynamo Kyiv, because only 2 channels have license to broadcast on Tuesday or Wednesday and those were bigger matches.

In Germany, DAZN asks for 45€ a month to show LaLiga and not even all CL games. For them to watch on Tuesday, you also need Prime. DAZN started with 8€ once, so yeah, I said fuck you motherfuckers, I just watch for free now in the same quality. According to Tebas, I'm the devil, insult Moses commandments and should be arrested, but well I accept this burden  .

I pay 40€ a month for HBO + Prime + Disney+ AND the channel that shows LL + Serie A + the Swedish league (which I almost never watch, Malmö is my home team but fuck me it sucks watching them after a good Barca game  ).

That sounds fair. In Germany it's a total rip-off. If you want to watch LaLiga, CL and Bundesliga, you need DAZN + PRIME + SKY, combined around 70-80€ just to watch football. Yeah, I have still some selfrespect and not letting myself to get ripped off from greedy motherfuckers :flick2:

I think Romania has the best package by a mile in terms of internet, television and mobile for high end services for very low price.

I pay 30 EUR for:

TV:
La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Serie A, CL, EL, Conferrence League, and Romanian League, with La Liga, European competitions & Romanian League most important games in 4k.

+ HBO MAX + Sky Showtime + 4K option for channels that broadcast in 4K (mainly Eurosport and DigiSport).

The magic in 4k despite the incredible picture quality on a big OLED is they start coverage of matches 5-10 mins sooner than official transmission on regular channels (you see shots from locker-rooms before games, tunnel conversations between players, refs, and whatnot).

There are no commercials. In the half time, instead of some stupid commercial break, you get all replays of major game actions from every camera angle and snapshots with very interesting match facts.

It's almost as if they just give you a direct connection to most important cameras that broadcast the match. Really feels like you're in the action.

I used to have EPL before also, but EPL got bought by some stupid streaming service for a lot of money, which is the model you see in other countries, one which I hate beyond belief. But after Klopp left, I don't care at all about EPL, so, not a big miss for me. Not paying for that to see some half-assed title fights which happened in each of the last 2-3 years. Looks to be the same this year also, with Arsenal running alone. If something changes, maybe I buy it for last 2 months into the season.

Mobile:
I have 2 phones on it, nothing too fancy, but gets the job done.

Internet:
1Gbps connection, and and latest router models in custody for best connection from multiple rooms.

I kid you not, not sure how long this lasts, but I'm enjoying it.

I had an offer for Netflix + Disney also for the max package, but I cancelled Netflix because the content went to shite, last great shows I watched on Netflix were Mindhunter and Dark. The German series Dark was probably the greatest thing they had on that platform.

But, unfortunately, as the wages are getting higher, the services are getting worse. More and more foreign corporation, many shady and exploitative, are looking to penetrate the Romanian market, and I wouldn't be surprised to see our society become more like the West in terms of prices and quality in the communications area.

Digi Communications are going strong on Spanish market also, I believe it's the fastest growing company of this type there also because they offer a great service for a fair price. And their infrastructure is very advanced.

No Roony is disappointing. If Flick wanted to start Yamal, it should've been instead of Olmo, would be exciting to see Lamine and Roony on the pitch together again. On the other hand, Casado and especially Bernal is good. Big chance for both of them to impress.

Strong team. Yesterday's result probably scared Flick a bit.

Otoh, now that I think of it the only change that could be made is Yamal for Roony.

Normally Roony should play.

Yamal probably plays because he doesn't like being on the bench. He's our only player who is getting preferential treatment from Flick imo, and it's something we need to be very careful with in the future.

I feel like every player is very applied to Flick's methods, except this one. You may not like it, but he's our own Vinicius type.

Good decision by Flick not to rotate too much. Big chance for Casado, Bernal and Olmo to score some points tonight.
