Agreed. Some quality here and there, but they're a wild bunch. Hard to get that team performing week in week out for anyone. Don't think Maresca is losing any sleep over this sacking tbh .

Maresca done well for a period. But he had a joke of a start and a joke of an end.

There's no guarantee he was turning this around. Not without mature signings which the Chelsea board seemingly doesn't look for. They are purely talent acquisition and reselling while also trying to compete at the highest level.

As I said, for that type of model you probably want a stay quiet De Zerbi type. But In the end of the day, they will probably flip coaches like players in a very American way.

I don't rate Maresca really and maybe getting a better coach is not so bad idea but their board really is a bunch of complete idiots

Been a lot of reports about Maresca to Man City and he's been in discussions with them so sounds like Pep has informed them this is likely his last season after all.

It was Conference league not EL. The best team they faced was Betis. EL has some very good teams, Conference barely has anyone.

CWC was his biggest achievement, but it is still a glorified friendly if we are being honest.

He got the expectations right tbf, but it isn't like he overachieved big time.

However, they have an awfully planned squad, no experience within the dressing room. They are more or less playing football manager but with the aim of profit rather than trophies. They seriously need an actual sporting direction. Maresca was their best bet tbh.

No big name coach should be touching this team, talent is there and with few additions they can be legit, however they aren't going to give it to anyone.

Yes, ECL I meant, only Betis true, but still a title Villa and Fiorentina failed to get.
It's not only the CWC, he showcased potential in many different ways
He delivered tactical masterclasses in most important games against big teams

Evidently, like Klopp first at Liverpool, like Arteta first at Arsenal, etc., you can't expect to win EPL the first 3 or 4 years. You build gradually: solidify top4, become title contender, then win it

Takes time, like all serious projects.
But there is not serious project with such owners. They can't get the basics of football right. They think they play fM as you say. Their delusion if infuriating.

Estevao, Gittens, Joao Pedo, and Neto are top signings.
The core of Palmer, Enzo, Caicedo is also WC
They lack elsewhere (defence, GK, etc.)

Serous shortcoming of the SDepartment not to address that and keep buying/selling tons everywindow

Kittens and Garneto are average, not good enough to be starters for a top team.

Agreed, they seem like a mess and Xavi would be wise to avoid the turbulence.

Although, it would be fun to see him there. Or generally, take up another club altogether.

Don Juan Laporta Estruch

Basta yaaaaaaa, Cabron ! y Bona nit 🥂
Stay away Don Xavi. These crybabies still have their panties in a bunch about a game 16 years ago when they robbed us in the 1st leg and claim the second leg was the biggest robbery of all time despite the fact that Abudal got sent off for NOTHING.

It was hard enough seeing Barca talent bringing success to Porta Potty Paris. But Chelshit too?? 🤮 🤢

No to Qsg, No to Chelshit, No to Bumchester, No to Shinter. Everywhere else I support :xavi:to the end of the earth.
