He milked Barcelona good, now he want stay for less...

20mil per season for almost 40 years old is terrible.

If he wants to play for 5mil, that is okay, anytginh more then that is wasting money.

I already see situation where we are brooke like every year and he will stay to be Ferrets sub.

I watched an extensive interview with him, done recently, where he opened up about himself. He willingly talked about his personal life as well as career.
Looks like he isn't that much involved in his contractual moves and the behind the scenes drama. He is a pro. He does his job to the letter. He trains, follows the protocol of sport behavior ascribed by the club, tries his best when called upon on the pitch. Then, sure enough, he collects the due check.
That's how it is supposed to be in the Anglo - Saxon ordnung muss sein paradigm of work ethics and amassing wealth. Everything else falls on the management.
Contrary to the fact that he was aware of the club financial difficulties and did not quite deny the rumor of him being told not to bang so many goals so that Bayern wouldn't have to paid bonus money. He said that when they tell a striker like him to take it easy with scoring, it inevitably gets to your head...
Sure it does, especially for a guy with his work ethics and established drive for sport achievements.
