We will see in the CL about Lamine. We are likely to start playing vs some top tier teams early this season. The player who would come up with the goods then is our best. Lamine, Raphinha, and Pedri are clearly our best, our most differential players.

I want to believe his seemingly laid back attitude is deliberately agreed with coaching staff to protect his injury getting worse and him actually being able to play full season without gassing out. He seemed stronger and faster in preseason before his injuries after all.

In general I feel like the team is more fresh now than one year ago. We were pushing it at this point last season and kinda struggled, then came back refreshed and played better. I think we have more left to give this season. The players aren't as overloaded as last season, at least not at this point.

The biggest question or doubt, if we can ever reach those highs what we achieved last season. Probably not, because the defense, but otherwise we could be dangerous.

I counted about 11 inshas from Yamal yesterday most of them in first half, I guess it took that many wasted balls for him to try different things even if just recycling. Messi never in his life relied on inshas and Yamal's turning into our Bruno who's happy to throw grenades which is mostly chaos but still gets his G/A stats even though very rarely from the grenades. Yamal got his goal because rags was flopping on grass and distracting the play.

Fermin, creampie, Bernal, ferret, rags can't one touch tiki with Yamal in oppo box they need multiple touches giving defenders plenty time to close down any link ups Yamal could use. No calm movement by any of his teammates in oppo box either which is a non-starter for tiki, only Yamal remains calm.

This is a serious problem. We keep winning while Yamal by lack of choice develops bad habits. But most Barca fans like United fans will love the grenades which are nice-looking trivelas in our case.

I know this is beyond Flick's intelligence but he really should be embarrassed what's happening.

He is not even trying. Lazy as fuck but he is so gifted than people dont notice it.
He's actually trying too hard but in the wrong way, trying to dribble and be the star of the show.

When he burst on to the scene, the one thing that really separated him from other 'wonderkids' with pace/dribbling was having decision making far beyond his years; he has actually regressed in that a little lately. Since finishing 2nd in the Ballon d'or, he knows goals win them and it's noticeable by how many shots he's taking now. Also it has to be stated again, Kounde at RB supporting him is gimping Yamal's effectiveness.

His dribbling's really good but his teammates are frozen so only options are to take a shot that's not there or abort and back pass. Even though we need new players Flick should be training the team every day with tiki exercises in the box.

He is extremely direct which is great but seemed rusty on his pass execution. He needs to work on those more. With better weight and placement could have created good chances with his signature curling passes.

Even Messi on those dribbling runs combined a quick one two with a teammate very often. Yamal doesn't have that and I think Flick partialy at fault for it. He prefers spamming crosses and long shots. It's also true the team mates aren't on the level techically.
