PL's greatness is still exaggerated. This time probably truly better than La Liga overall compared to 10 years ago but ultimately pointless in which league the 8th placed team is stronger. I won't waste my time watching Sunderland vs. Crystal Palace nor Espanyol vs. Getafe. Those are teams which have 90 % local fanbases anyway. What matters internationally is which of the top 2 or 3 teams go far in the CL and come April I'd still bet money on Barca, RM, PSG, Bayern and even some Italian shithousery like Inter again rather than Arsenal and Chelsea.

Good for them peaking in November but Chelsea have played 3 of the 5 CL matches at home so far, 2 of those they played against 10 men for 73 and 46 minutes respectively, while not winning either of their 2 away games, including 2-2 against Qarabag and 1-3 against Bayern (while the reverse result for Arsenal at the Emirates now somehow puts Arsenal as the "current best team in the world").

PL still lots of talk and premature ejaculation. They can back it up a little better now than in the past but still not as much to show for it. 3 English CLs to 6 Spanish CLs in the past 10 years and I think we all know that neither Liverpool nor City will ever be as good or better as they were at their recent peaks under Klopp and Pep anymore from here on. Stokesenal being the new English pride is about right though.

6 CLs in 10 years becomes a lot less impressive when you realise they're all from the same two teams that the entire league is built to maximise the output of, the ONLY two La Liga teams that have ever won it.

Its more impressive than needed an entire country to come in, buy a team, copy FC Barcelona to finally win won.

If the league is built for Real and Barca to succeed no matter what then you basically already have an entire country backing you. Besides, the argument was about the strength of the respective leagues, and Chelsea finished 6th and 4th the years they won it.

Which tells us what exactly?. that they focused on the CL because it was their best chance of winning something?.

To the best of my knowledge we've had 3 teams winning la liga in the past decade which matches exactly the EPL

4 teams in the CL final, Vs 3.

Then in the EL it's not a comparison, la Liga clears.

The EPL is the best league in the world now, but the gap has not been that big over the last 15-10 years, the gap is a very modern thing, 4ish years at most.

Thanks tebas

Spain is definitely not backing Barca, more like working against it. Can be said they work against foitball as such, which is why no club can afford anything, even keep players they scouted in some backwater.

Your country, on the other hand is entirely owned by foreigners, which include arab slave owners, who can infuse trillions in any of your lil clubs that they've chosen as their toys, while also owning your politicians, who let it all happen. Bread and circuses by foreign agency, while life of a common man in your totalitariam state becomes more unbearable by the day. Nothing to be prideful about methinks.
At least Spain is a shithole of their own making and not entirely owned by arabs, jews, jeets and amerimutts.

We're talking about which football league is stronger. The "pride" aspect is something you invented inside your own head.

The answer then is usually the one with more money allowed to spend, even when it's fake. Being stronger internally, as in, being able to scoop best players/coaches from other countries. Doesn't reflect strength internationally though, so there needs to be separate categories.

Then why is there no La Liga equivalent?

Because when la Liga teams are doing well in the CL, then then to be able to do both, not a Chelsea job were one was a once in a life time fluke and the other they had nothing to play for but the CL so they put all their eggs in that basket and it worked out.

Atletico deserves a mention too, they were 2x in final and beat prime Bayern and prime Barca.

We're mentioning teams reaching finals now?

Then Arsenal (2006) and Tottenham (2019) should be mentioned too.

The fact that only 2 Spanish teams have ever won the CL/EC is absolutely diabolical and proves that it's a 2 team league. Even Germany has produced 3 different winners of the EC/CL.
