Yeah, it's not a great sign for the biggest clubs to alternate top seasons with mediocre or even shite ones.

Few weeks ago you were going on about how poor it was for EPL to be 'one team league' and Liverpool have it all but wrapped up.

Were arguing at length about how over rated likes of Arsenal are.

Yeah, nice for the league, but not a great sign for the biggest clubs to alternate top seasons with mediocre or even shite ones.
That's why the product is better. Multiple teams can rise to the top.

That's what a competitive league is supposed to be like. Not a permanent lifelong duopoly.

Same with Serie A now.

It's not much competition at the top this season either. Arsenal can run alone like Liverpool last season.

Aye so you were completely wrong and change the tune as usual.

'Not much competition' when English teams have been battering La Liga top sides.

You try too hard..as if being clear best in clearly best league is some kind of negative.

Should be more like La Liga! Get scudded in Europe but at least keep a tight title race!

Thats the way.

Doesn't that happen in every league though, it's just that the chasing pack is not good enough to make it count? Madrid and Barca have both been quite poor this season, yet they're both at the top of the league.

That's one side of the coin. The other side of the coin is that clubs like Bayern, Madrid, Barcelona are bigger, and bigger means more competitive and consistent.

No... that makes no sense and latest mental gymnastics as argud likes of Arsenal are massively over rated and EPL not that greaT.

Barca are bigger than City... means fuck all for how much better City and Liverpool have been in last years.

That's why no one watches their league and their club presidents are desperately pushing for the Super League.

After a while, even the fans of these clubs stop enjoying League Titles as much as they should. That's why they always want the CL every year.

FWIW, Barca had only 1 CL/EC before their golden era started in 2006 so it's not like you were winning the CL every other year.

I think more responsability should be directed to teams that can't maintain their level despite every condition to do so. Competition didn't suddenly get bigger for Liverpool, they just aren't used to getting titles every season or even pushing for it.

Yet a few weeks ago league was negative as Liverpool were romping a one team league.

Top stuff.

A lot has changed for Liverpool since last season and dips get exposed there week in week out.

Barca won an absurd no of league titles in the last 20 years in a league that has been overall no1 in this time frame.

Yet we have the most domestic trophies in England and the 3rd most number of CLs.

We have a brilliant squad currently and are defending PL champions but the club needs to make some changes. It's not the end of the world.
