He's captain, one of the oldest players in the team and an absolute pillar of the starting XI. Such players easily deserve 9-10m net in an elite club. Laporta reduced the wage bill to a bit over 50% of the total ordinary income, which is a top level among the elite clubs, meaning Barca can easily afford this salary.

He wasn't all that since it's been agreed. As a club with biggest debt I would have liked captains to set an example and agree to lower wages if they so love the club but it is what it is.
Most of their "love" for the club correlates with salaries, sadly.

Nah played best of the three midfielders and good assist to win game.
Top lad and played well in unfamiliar position.
Lucklily they subbed off Casado in time to win again.
