We were more or less equal to Madrid in both the league clasico's tbh and lost on fine details and a worldie from Bellingham.

Actually we were better than them in both league games in the overall game, but results are what matter and what will be remembered.

'Almost' is not enough.

Likes of Gavi vanished in the 2nd half of that classico and Belligham stepped up.

Don't think PSG home is easier than Chelsea away despite PSG injuries. Chelsea had an off start with many errors in defense.

Besides, we're missing 3 starters also. On some key positions.

Rashford will need to put a big defensive shift, he'd better do it. Achraf is his man.

This might be the best time to play PSG. Their best players are either injured or carrying knocks. A loss would be disappointing. A draw wouldn't be too bad considering we are missing players aswell. Martin as usual is a concern since he struggles against pace. Rashford will need to track back to help.

Chelsea away depends on the form they're in. If Brighton can get a win at Stamform Bridge i dont see why we shouldnt be able to get a result there.

Newcastle, the game where we scored on a cross and a long shot, two high risk/high reward actions? And then also conceded a goal while "controlling" the game.

What?

How does the way that the goals were scored diminish the control we had over the game? Makes no sense lol!

Also of course you are going to concede chances, even the greatest controlling midfield of all time in prime xavi/iniesta/busi were controlling games with 80%+ posession and still conceding chances and goals.

There is simply no way to please some of the fans and it's understandable, has been like that since forever

We win one of the toughest possible away games in Europe against a top EPL side and they complain about the fashion in which goals were scored

Because control is useless without scoring goals. The control we enjoyed was only meaningful by virtue of us defending a lead. And our two goals, as I pointed out, came about through aberrations from the strategy of control, from decisions you would normally not make if you were seeking to control the match.

Your second paragraph is exactly my point funnily enough. No matter how much control you have, you are always going to concede chances. Which is why I would prefer to score more goals instead of just passing it around.

"Well you can score goals AND control the match" you will reply now. Which leads me back to my first point. This doesn't fit the evidence. Our goals came through aberration from moderation, from high risk/high reward decisions.

We might win this, or we lose by a couple of goals - this Barca is unpredictable af  But I'm all for it, I think if we loose tomorrow we still might go through if we playa again later on.

1) Scoring from a cross or outside of the box isn’t an aberration from the strategy. It’s aligned to it. The more control you have the more opportunities you will have to threaten the opponents goal. Whether that is from a cross or a shot from outside the box.

2) it’s fine if you prefer us going to score more goals instead of passing it around. You are just going to end up with more games like Inter, Benfica Dortmund where you are conceding a significant amount of goals and also scoring.

Look at the Inter tie. Barca scored 6 goals and still went out. If Barca tried to ‘control’ the game a little more after Raphinha’s goal instead of pushing for more goals, then maybe we would have been in the final.

It is nonsense.

Same person thought Casado was ok vs Oviedo etc...

It is all about not thinking Pedri is good enough as claimed that long ago and takes any opportunity to try and be negative.

Pedri and Frenkie pass ball forward all the time.

Ask again... what team has a midfield that plays in better way?

Wont be answered.
