So basically we swapped

Fati, pau, Martinez, Tek/mats

For

Roony, rashford, fit Christensen, Garcia.

I think that's a pretty solid improvement

It is. If we get Rashford registered. If not... it's pretty much same thing as last season give or take.

My only issue this summer is missing out on the striker sweepstakes, but I blame whoever thought roque was good enough to be lewa's long term replacement.

If things worked out, roque would be our starting striker next season and lewa would be off.

But roque can't play football

Next year we will most likely need two big signings on paper, a CF and and CB. Also if Raphinha goes back to his 2023/24 form we will also be looking for a LW.

If those are the positions we need, and even without LW, I don't think we will spend big on CB. I fear that position will be treated like GK last seasons which was neglected for years due to more pressing needs.

A #9 imo is guaranteed to drain 50-100m from our budget. For CB I can see max 20-30m being spent, or even spending that on a RB and trying Kounde out for a season. All I'm saying is, it might take until 2027 til we have a set CB partnership (most likely with Cubarsi) for 5+ years ahead. Until then, we will make due with Araujo, Chris and Kounde.

Juve signed Zegrova for 15m.

Get back to full fit ess and that is an incredible fee.

Would have given much needed depth, and opened the option for a Fermin sale at 45m min.

This club just has some fear about selling La Masia players, or we could have made many good business moves by now with the likes of Casado, Fermin, Gavi etc.

It's good to have a local core. But not to hold on to rotational talents when needing to raise funds for registrations and missing market opportunities in the process.

But holding Fermin is good if we couldn't replace him in any way.

Look at Inigo. We are relying on the two guys who spent the majority of last season injured to replace him. And if not them, Eric Garcia.

A tiny reason could be, that La-Masia is the foundation and identification of Barca, as well as a goal and dream for all Masia kids to make it into the first team. But right, why should we keep all of it, if the club can make a few bucks with them according to some internet fans, who don't care about anything but other people's money.
And who cares about telling Masia kids they're assets for the club to make money. They will understand.
